A new clip from Disney's Hocus Pocus 2 shows the Sanderson Sisters taking flight. Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy became stitched into the fabric of Halloween forever for their portrayals of Winifred, Sarah and Mary Sanderson in Hocus Pocus. The trio of witches spent the 1993 flick hunting children across Salem in an effort to stay young forever. Much to audience's delight, it was announced in 2020 that all three would return for a sequel.

Helmed by Anne Fletcher (The Proposal), Hocus Pocus 2 follows three high schoolers as they attempt to stop the conjured up Sanderson Sisters from wreaking havoc over modern day Salem. Midler, Parker and Najimy are once again joined by Doug Jones as Billy Butcherson. The movie also sees a host of new faces introduced to the franchise, including Whitney Peak (Gossip Girl), Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso) and Sam Richardson (After Party). After dropping the official Hocus Pocus 2 trailer, Disney has continued to tease viewers leading up to the film's highly-awaited debut.

Disney shared the first official clip from Hocus Pocus 2, showing the Sanderson Sisters take flight over Salem. After bickering inside of a Walgreens pharmacy, Winnie, Sarah and Mary secure makeshift broomsticks to fly into the night. Check out the whimsical clip for yourself below:

The snippet is thrilling for lovers of the original Hocus Pocus because it confirms that Midler, Parker and Najimy's chemistry still thrives. It also gives a full glimpse at the Sandersons sisters at Walgreens scene, which was teased in the trailer. This situation is exciting because the original film had a cut scene showing the witches running amok through a grocery store. Many diehard fans have been eager to see that cut scene for years, so including a similar sequence in the sequel is likely a nod from the filmmakers.

Overall, the first official clip bubbles with nostalgia, featuring several other callbacks to the original film. From Winnie slapping Sarah to Sarah's mid-air "amok," it makes it clear that Hocus Pocus 2 will reference its predecessor. The promo also lets audiences sit with the Sanderson sisters, which Disney is clearly putting front and center, for the longest period of time yet. They're as playful as ever as they seemingly get back on track from whatever threw off their plan. No one will know if the Sandersons succeed in their evil ways this time around, until Hocus Pocus 2 soars until Disney+ just in time for spooky season on September 30.
