When it comes to stealth-based video games, there's none more unique than the Hitman series. It's known for its huge sandbox levels, inventive ways of killing targets, and, of course, the hundreds of different disguises that Agent 47 can wear. There's something hilarious about a chiseled meathead dressing up as a hippie or a pizza delivery man.

The game has a one-of-a-kind dark sense of humor with its disguises. Whether it's attacking a target with piano wire while dressed as a chipmunk or hiding in a cornfield as a scarecrow, the Hitman game franchise is funnier than any other stealth game by far.

Real Estate Agent (Hitman 2)

The third game in the World of Assassination trilogy is the best Hitman game, according to Metacritic, but it's Hitman 2 that has the most gags and the funniest disguise options. Even though it isn't so much the actual outfit that makes this disguise so funny, one of the best is in the level, "Another Life."

The player can disguise themselves as a real estate agent and show the target around a house. It's the way in which Agent 47 must act like he's trying to sell a house that makes the disguise hilarious. The character walks into each room by describing it as if an alien would describe it, knowing only its basic functions. But he's still able to describe certain things with a sadist-like approach, such as the lounge's "dark floors -- to hide stains easily."

Scarecrow (Hitman Absolution)

Hitman Absolution is the least-liked game in the series because most of the missions are fairly linear, with their narrow hallways, instead of the huge sandbox levels that the series is known for. However, one area that the game did take advantage of was in the disguises.

In "Attack of the Saints," Agent 47 is being tracked down by killer nuns. It's in a crop field in the dead of night, and the assassin can dress up as a scarecrow in order to not be seen. Hitman Absolution isn't the only game that has used the scarecrow outfit either, as it was also used in Hitman 2, in Colorado.

Flamingo (Hitman 2)

"The Finish Line" takes place in the sun-soaked Miami Bayside Area, and despite the hot temperature, one poor soul has to dress up as a pink flamingo racing mascot. As with any other non-player character, Agent 47 can take him out and don the flamingo outfit himself.

The level is full of interesting disguises, whether it's as a cowboy in a baby blue jacket or even a race car driver, but the flamingo is, by far, the funniest. There is some kind of mascot-type outfit in several of the Hitman games, but Agent 47 looks prettiest in pink.

Wang Fou Waiter (Hitman: Codename 47)

Wang Fou waiter disguise in Hitman game

Codename 47 was the first Hitman game, and it made disguises a trademark of the series from the very beginning. Players could dress the assassin up as a member of the SWAT team and even a leather-clad biker, but the best of them all was a Wang Fou restaurant waiter.

The outfit is made up of a green and purple traditional Chinese dress with a hat. What makes it so funny is that the waiter who originally wore the outfit had long dark hair in a ponytail. So realistically, people would spot 47's bald head and notice something's off immediately.

Hippie (Hitman 2016)

When Hitman was first released in 2016, it was after a brief hiatus, after the disappointing sales of Absolution. But the series reverted back to what made it so great, which was huge sandboxes where players could get inventive with assassinations and wear all sorts of outrageous disguises.

This outfit, which first appears in "World of Tomorrow," is one of the best because the look and lifestyle of a hippie are directly the opposite to Agent 47's stoic and order-following existence. The Hitman series seems to be obsessed with hippies, as there was an entire level in Absolution full of them, and the "Bohemian" outfit was available in the two follow-ups too.

Pizza Delivery Man (Hitman: Silent Assassin)

The Hitman movie is so bad it's good, but one of the major things it got wrong was the disguises, as Agent 47 mostly stuck to his black suit and iconic red tie. But there's so much fun and depth in the source material that the studio ignored, and one of the best examples of that is the Pizza Delivery Man in the level "Basement Killing."

There's no better way to naturally walk into a business office guarded by security than with a pizza in hand. It's one of the most unassuming disguises there is, especially when Agent 47 wears a paper hat on his head.

Mexican Wrestler (Hitman Absolution)

Again, being something that players were disappointed in when the game was first released, one of the methods of assassinating the target in "Fight Night" is by fighting him in a quick time event. Quick time events often come off lazy, as players simply have to hit buttons that appear on-screen, and this level was no different.

However, the great thing about this approach to killing Mexican wrestler Sanchez is that Agent 47 must dress up like a Mexican wrestler himself. The assassin walks into the ring shirtless and wearing a black and silver mask, and he has never looked so silly.

Vampire Magician (Hitman 2016)

Agent 47 dressed as a vampire magician in Hitman 2

The Vampire Magician is one of the most unique outfits in the entire Hitman series, and it can be found in the attic in "The Showstopper," as it isn't being worn by any character. The costume is made up of a top hat, dress shirt, cape, and round sunglasses.

47 looks a lot like a vampire in the outfit, and the only thing it's lacking is the plastic fangs to complete the look. More than anything, though, Agent 47 looks like a hungover street performer. It's such a fun disguise that many of the bonus challenges make the outfit mandatory for them to be completed.

Santa (Hitman: Blood Money)

"You Better Watch Out..." is possibly the most Hitman-like level ever, whether it's the conceptual setting, the hilarious disguises, or the narrative. Agent 47 is assigned to take out a pornography tycoon who is hosting a Christmas party, which is in April.

The level is also full of hilarious lines of dialogue, and the whole stage is a perfect example of how Hitman: Blood Money defined a franchise. Though it's lacking the big white beard, players can dress Agent 47 as Santa Claus, meaning Blood Money could be called a Christmas video game just as much as Die Hard could be called a Christmas movie.

Chipmunk (Hitman Absolution)

In the level "Dexter Industries," an absurd costume can be found in the factory compound. In a locked room, players can find a Chipmunk outfit, which is the mascot for the hot sauce brand "Charlie Chipmunk Hot Sauce."

Not only is the disguise hilarious, but it's a fascinating bit of world-building in the Hitman franchise too. It's also a great disguise, as it's one of the few that completely conceals Agent 47's true identity. The disguise can also be found in a back alley in "Chinese New Year," even though there isn't much reason for it to be there.
