IO Interactive has released another trailer showcasing the new gadgets that fans can expect to be used by everyone’s favorite assassin in Hitman 3, showcasing Agent 47 taking out targets and anyone who gets in his way with everything from high-tech weaponry to a very sturdy feather duster. This latest installment to the Hitman series will complete the World of Assassination trilogy, and players will follow Agent 47 across the globe as he works his way to eliminate the partners of Providence, a powerful and mysterious secret society.

IO Interactive has  been treating fans of the series to a variety of teasers and reveals in the run up to Hitman 3’s January release. As can be expected from a Hitman game, the settings that have been revealed look to be grand in scale and full of potential for the series' trademark sly kills. England, Dubai, and Chongqing have already been confirmed as locations for assassinations, with Agent 47 of course able to don various guises, including that of a tweed-clad and bespectacled detective, to blend in with his surroundings.

The latest trailer from IO Interactive debuted today, giving fans a deeper look at what they can expect from the upcoming release, including the skills, tools, and weapons that Agent 47 will wield as he sets his sights on his targets. Among the items mentioned within the trailer, Agent 47 will be equipped with a new camera that will allow him to hack locks to gain entry to otherwise off limit areas and state of the art sniper gear (although no sign of the infamous exploding duck so far). As with previous games, the enigmatic assassin can turn anything to hand into a weapon, including, rather humorously, a feather duster. And, while no new locations are revealed within the latest teaser from IO Interactive, fans can get a better look at how the environments within the confirmed Hitman 3 settings can be used to instigate a kill. From throwing a body over balconies and down elevator shafts to “exploiting bad habits” to make kills look like accidents, there will be plenty of opportunities for gamers to initiate a kill with no weaponry required.

As with previous Hitman titles, players will have the chance to improve and challenge their gaming style. With Escalations and Elusive Targets, players will be able to progress with the “Mastery Tracks” and 20 “Mastery Tiers” included in each level. For fans with the desire to achieve the distinguished ranking of Silent Assassin, that level rating will still be in play in Hitman 3.

Along with Hitman 3’s release next year, IO Interactive has also announced a new game in the James Bond franchise. Simply entitled Project 007 (for now), the developer has remained tight-lipped about what can be expected from the new project, only revealing that a game is in production within a recent reveal trailer.

With Hitman 3 releasing next month, fans of the series won't have to wait much longer before they can begin plotting their perfect kills. After all, as IO Interactive has said, “The how, the when, and the where is all up to you.”
