The Hills: New Beginnings stars and real-life siblings Spencer Pratt and Stephanie Pratt's longstanding feud was challenged after nearly nine years since the original The Hills drama. The siblings were brought together at Stephanie's welcome home party after moving back to Los Angeles, and the Pratt siblings tried to hash it out in front of everyone at the party - only to have it escalate to a public screaming match.

Fans first met Spencer during season 1 of the original run of The Hills in 2006 as Heidi Montag's boyfriend (their relationship is what led to the demise of Heidi's friendship with star Lauren Conrad). Stephanie joined the cast in 2007 during the third season to confront Lauren, but ended up becoming friends. The Hills: New Beginnings co-star Whitney Port attended the same high school as the Pratts and has been witnessing the sibling drama ever since. However, not unlike some viewers, she's confused as to why they always argue and can't seem to get along. She doesn't know what started the conflict, but knows it's been this way for as long as she's known them.

During the episode of The Hills: New Beginnings, Spencer attempted to put their best-forced smiles on as he and wife Heidi arrived at Stephanie's welcome home party; and, as it turns out, their appearance alone seemed to shock Stephanie. After some heated build-up - partially stemming from Stephanie being upset that she found out about Spencer and Heidi's new baby in the tabloids - the siblings ended up having a screaming match at the party. Spencer claimed that his baby announcement was made a day after Stephanie's birthday, further pointing the finger at Stephanie for putting herself in the position of not being close with them - leading to Spencer calling his sister the "most self-centered person ever."

Stephanie posted a reaction to their fight on her Instagram Stories (via: Us Magazine). She explained that she's "livid" because The Hills: New Beginnings allegedly edited it to not show the apology she got from her brother. She said, “They, like, cut out all of our fight, where I actually get them to say that they’ve been lying every time they say that they told me in advance.”

However, Stephanie wasn't the only one to receive an apology that night. Mischa Barton also received an apology from Perez Hilton for years of spreading rumors on his celeb gossip website. As a whole, it's frustrating for fans to not see how the whole apology went down; the miscommunication from the editing doesn't help the already fragile grounds the Pratt siblings are standing on. As for Stephanie and Spencer, viewers will have to see how their relationship evolves throughout the rest of the season because, as the theme song goes, "the rest is still unwritten."
