The Hills: New Beginnings star Heidi Montag just took a big step toward having another baby. Heidi revealed she underwent a special surgery to boost her chances at conceiving. She and husband Spencer Pratt have desired to expand their family for several years and the famous couple may be getting closer to a second baby.
Heidi and Spencer welcomed a son, Gunner Pratt, in 2017. The mother was thrilled with her first pregnancy, calling the experience a miracle and a blessing, and said she hoped she could do it again one day. The longtime couple has celebrated being parents with their followers on social media with adoring posts of Gunner. Heidi and Spencer have also been open with fans about their hopes for another baby. A recent video from Heidi revealed the challenges the mother faced to improve her chances at baby No. 2.
The Hills star posted a video titled "Heidi gets surgery to help her get pregnant" to The Pratts' YouTube channel this week. In the video, Heidi vlogs her experience getting a hysteroscopic polypectomy. The procedure removed uterine polyps, non-cancerous overgrown cells in the uterus, to improve Heidi's chance of conception. On the way to the doctor's office, Heidi said she was excited before the surgery. "I'm hoping that the surgery works and that this is the only reason I haven't been able to get pregnant," she explained. In a later clip, Heidi reflects on the timing of the procedure while waiting for the surgery to take place. "I think it's the perfect timing and meant to be," she shared. "And so thankful I didn't have other problems and complications from this."
The vlog picked back up following the surgery with The Hills star in high spirits. "All done!" she said. "And then I can have intercourse in two days, and I'm ovulating, so hopefully this is the time... We'll see. I'm just so happy to have this done." Heidi explained she would experience bleeding in the days following her surgery. The video concluded with an optimistic Heidi and Spencer out to a celebratory dinner with Gunner.
Heidi has always been one to share what's going on in her life with fans. The reality star often speaks on her dreams of expanding her family with more children.
