The many fans of the hit Starz show, Outlander, are in the midst of what they jokingly call "Droughtlander" - the long period of time between airings of the different seasons of the show. Viewers are killing the time in a lot of ways, like obsessing over all the unanswered questions going into Outlander season 6 or rewatching some of the most romantic moments on the show on repeat.
Another way fans can distract themselves before season 6 airs is having a good laugh at the hilarious art that viewers have made about the characters and inside jokes within the fanbase -and there are some very talented artists out there!
"He Friend Requested Me!"
No one knew how to press Jamie's buttons quite like Black Jack Randall did--and there's no doubt he would get a chuckle out of imagining Jamie getting flustered about a social media friend request. Some Redditors unpopularly think Jamie made mistakes and definitely acted on impulse in Paris.
It's absolutely understandable why Jamie was so on edge with Randall. After all, he sexually assaulted him and tortured him for days. But, in the spirit of making light of a dark situation, after Jamie promised Claire he would leave Randall alone, he was just searching for a reason to break his promise. Plus, sending a friend request as a power move is totally something Randall would do.
"Is That A Bed Bug?"
Sometimes fans wish they could get Claire's inner thoughts going about life in the 1700s and all of the 20th-century luxuries she probably missed, like shampoo, washing machines, or bug spray.
This fan art posted to the Outlander Homepage perfectly matches the energy from the wedding night scene on the show: Jamie blissfully babbling about his family and life and Claire wondering roughly what the hell she's doing there and just how likely it is that there are bed bugs in the 18th-century country inn.
The Randall Trap
Re-imagining movie posters with different characters and storylines takes true artistic and creative talent, and that's exactly what the artist girlfrog did with an Outlander and The Parent Trap mashup.
It's a perfect combination, considering both Lindsay Lohan and Tobias Menzies play two different, related characters in their respective stories. The added reference to the "200-year-old twins" as a reference to the 200-year-old baby also makes for a great laugh.
"I Would Never Leave You!"
Another way artists that are fans of Outlander show their love for the show is by making adorable and funny products on Etsy to sell to other fans. This one, in particular, is from the shop JenGreneIllustration and is a perfect card for a superfan with a good sense of humor.
Not only is the card really well made, but the quote on the cover is hilarious. Many a fan has had to promise their significant other that they wouldn't choose to seek out James Alexander Malcolm Mackenzie Fraser if they had the chance to travel through the stones - although who's to say what would happen if it became reality?
"My Wig Is Better Than Yours."
The tension between Claire and John Grey is pretty palpable in their scenes together. Even though the Lord is a low-key hero on the show, Claire senses his affection for Jamie and feels the need to assert her dominance as his wife.
On the show, it's a lot more gentle and much less comedic, but this exchange of the two bickering about who loves Jamie more will make any fan chuckle. It also points out a lot of similarities between the two, like each of them raising one of Jamie's children. Also, the little quip about the wigs is a perfect nod to fans pointing out the odd hairlines on the wigs in the American seasons of the show.
"It's Just A Bikini, Jeez!"
Artist Laura Ewing Ferrer strikes again with another funny non-canonical scenario based on the show. Viewers - and Claire - couldn't help but laugh when Jamie reacted to a picture of Brianna wearing a bikini on the beach. Jamie's made some questionable parenting decisions, but he also has zero idea how to deal with the culture shock of the 1970s.
After all, if an 18th-century man saw a woman practically naked on the beach, they would have a conniption. The reaction would be even worse if the woman in question was their daughter. But, Brianna's blasé reaction and raised eyebrow to Jamie's outrage is very in character for her.
"A Scotch On The Rocks."
If an Outlander fan is feeling particularly festive, they can decorate their tree with some awesome and funny fan art. The Etsy shop GiftGoddessCo has everyone covered. Complete with a great image of Jamie, the holiday season can now be full of the Highlander spirit.
The ornament doubles down with an awesome pun too, referencing the cocktail "a scotch on the rocks" and showing Jamie with his foot on a boulder. It's just the kind of joke to make a Jamie-lover laugh and blush.

Who says staying safe during a pandemic can't also be fun? With face masks still being recommended for the optimum reduction in the spread of COVID-19, people may want to express themselves and show off their interests.
This adorable Chibi-style mask of Claire dragging Jamie off to "go save someone!" is not only completely in character for her, but is also in line with a mask's purpose is. Claire would, undoubtedly, support wearing a mask and would probably be first in line to volunteer to give vaccinations.

While rewatching season 3's reunion episode for the hundredth time, an Outlander lover might want to sip on some coffee, tea, or whiskey - and this is the perfect mug to do that with. It has some nice artwork, including sketches of the beloved soulmates themselves, Jamie and Claire.

A Screaming Adso
Sometimes, the stars of the show share special behind-the-scenes photos on their respective social media pages. When the cast was filming season 4, Sam Heughan, who plays Jamie, and the pet star playing Adso, the Fraser family kitten.
Recreating an Instagram picture isn't always funny, but the fact that the artist, Karen L Robarge, chose the pic Heughan posted in which Adso was meowing aggressively at the camera, ended up being pretty comical. Cats can have major personalities, and little Adso is no different.
