Multiversus will be released this July, and after the first released sneak peek of the title's gameplay and trailer, gamers from around the world could not help but compare it to Super Smash Bros. In all fairness, the game seems to imitate many of the successful franchise's premises and mechanics.
However, nothing can come close to the infinite amount of hours of fun and entertainment Super Smash Bros. has already given to thousands of players since their childhoods. And most of all, it has given gamers many things to laugh about through hilarious memes that really capture the franchise.
It's Really Competitive

There are players who only know how to repeatedly click a random button and jump around on the stage, but there are others that know the right combination of attacks and excel at killing other players repeatedly without dying. The latter type of player is rarer than the former, however, everybody believes they are the experts.
It is common for friends, family members, or other players to believe that they are the best Super Smash Bros. player, and that belief can lead to endless matches with different stages, characters, and sets of rules or other arrangements that supposedly define who is the best player in combat.
It Strengthens Bonds

It doesn't matter how much players rage quit, think the other ones are cheating, or how much they perceive they are being ganged up on. In the end, Super Smash Bros. provides hours of fun and entertaining multiplayer gameplay that tightens bonds between friends, families, or couples.
Most players who own any of the games of the franchise treasure multiple memories of playing the game amongst their loved ones and laughing together at the deaths of each other. One of the greatest aspects of the game is how is much more enjoyable is if it's played with other people.
There Are Always Campers

That is one interpretation of what is happening in the image, but the truth is that it is far more probable that Mario is camping and waiting for the right moment to strike upon his enemies who, thanks to Daisy and her hammer item, will have a lot of damage and will be easy to kill.
There are many players who would rather stay out of the conflict on a platform somewhere and wait until everybody else has done the dirty job to join the fight. This is one of the worst player habits to have in the Super Smash Bros., but some don't care about doing whatever it takes to win.
It's Nintendo's Most Ambitious Crossover

Super Smash Bros. is one of the best fighting games ever, and the reason why it is considered such is that it's one of the only games that has successfully incorporated characters from multiple video games and created a fun and engaging gameplay.
Even though other companies have tried to follow the premise and do their own fight games with their own characters, no one has achieved the approval and popularity that this franchise has. And it is absolutely superb to be able to play as a legendary character like Mario or an iconic avatar like a Mii.
Nothing Matters But Winning

It doesn't matter if the characters are from the same game or if in their universe they are family, friends, or lovers. Everybody in Super Smash Bros. is there to kill everyone else in order to win first place on the final rankings. Inevitably this leads to many scenes where Luigi kills Mario, or Peach kills Mario, or Yoshi kills Peach.
The variables of drama are endless considering how many friends, brothers or love interests can beat each other up. Although if players are too troubled with making people who are related face each other, they can always do teams and keep Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Daisy, and Peach on one side, and Bowser and his children on the other.
Characters Become Angrier And Deadlier

Peach used to be a damsel in distress, but in Super Smash Bros. she can kill the best heavy hitters of the game any day. Mario is already used to fighting, but there is something about having to kill his own friends or other friendly characters and having to prove he is the best fighter that turns him grim and angry.
Most characters lose their friendly faces and, unless they are already villains, they become what they swore to destroy in the first place. In each passing game, Mario seems to become angrier and more bitter, with the battles seeming to weigh on him heavily.
There Are Many Female Characters

There are many female video game characters who would be great in Super Smash Bros, but as of now, there are plenty of playable women who are amazing to use in combat, including Zelda, Peach, Lucina, Wii Fit Trainer, Bayonetta, and Samus, to name a few.
In the first games of the franchise, there weren't that many female players to play with, so it's a relief that in the latest releases, Nintendo has kept adding more of their fantastic and iconic women. And, this Mean Girls-inspired meme masterfully and wittily acknowledges it.
It Has The Best Facial Expressions

Characters react hilariously to being hit and do the funniest faces when they throw punches, attack, jump, celebrate or do any other action. Every movement and facial expression is organic and special and makes this game more plausible, cartoonish, rich, and vivid.
The special attention to detail given to the facial expressions and the animation is also appreciated in the game's reveal trailers. Without these, players wouldn't find iconic moments when pausing the game or get to contemplate the hilarious scenes hidden in plain sight when engaged in combat.
There Are Many Accidental Falls

There are some characters whose attacks have to be carefully used given that they usually end up making the player fall off the edge of the stage without being able to jump back up. Nobody knows this better than players that use Wario, Shulk, and Little Mac.
Sometimes it is hard to control Wario's motorcycle or calculate how long Little Mac's hit and jump actually is, which is something players who use characters like Kirby, that can fly for what seems to be an eternity, never have to contemplate in their combat.
Kirby Is OP

Maybe Kirby does not receive the hate for being overpowered as other characters like Ike do, however, he definitely has some amazing traits that make him very hard to battle against. He can fly for long periods of time out of everyone's reach or float back to the stage after being thrown miles away from it.
He also has endless power possibilities given that he can swallow anyone and absorb his or her abilities and he can transform into an impenetrable rock or metal. Needless to say, he can just float and fall as one of those heavy objects over and over again. This is why usually the rest of the players decide to kill him first.
