Screen Rant is thrilled to present an exclusive sneak peek from High School Musical: The Musical: The Series season 3, which premieres July 27 on Disney+. Unlike the previous two seasons of the highly successful TV show, the new set of episodes takes place in between school years at Camp Shallow Lake, where The Wildcats will embark on a musical journey in the great outdoors and meet new friends who may pose some vocal competition.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series season 3 does follow the footsteps of its predecessors by having the campers audition for a yet another Disney production that brings out the best and worst in them. This time around, it's Frozen, which is deliciously ironic given the summer vibes of the sleepaway camp, but also an interesting change of pace from the previous romance-filled production of Beauty and the Beast.

Screen Rant's exclusive clip from High School Musical: The Musical: The Series season 3, opens with a heart-stopping crash courtesy of new character Johnny (also known as "Crash," for obvious reasons). Carlos (Frankie A. Rodriguez) may be scared witless, but EJ (Matt Cornett) is thrilled to reach the camp and introduce himself as the Counselor-in-Training for the sleepaway summer. When Jet (newcomer Adrian Lyles) enters the bunk, however, he wants no part of EJ's warm welcome and proceeds to scare Carlos further. Check out the full clip below:

While HSMTMTS season 3 may start off in an unfamiliar setting and environment, fans will find there are some familiar elements to maximize their enthusiasm. Those who loved the original movies can see star Corbin Bleu return in a metatheatrical turn as himself, which adds another layer to the docuseries being filmed about the school where said movies were filmed. Meg Donnelly, the star of Disney+'s newest musical movie franchise Zombies (which also features Matt Cornett), will appear in the season as well and expand her vocal chops.

HSMTMTS season 3 is bringing the band back together and meeting many new friends, though multiplatform superstar Olivia Rodrigo will only return in a reduced capacity. The series is executive produced by Tim Federle (who recently wowed Disney+ audiences with Better Nate Than Ever), and stars Adrian Lyles as Jet, Aria Brooks as Alex, Ben Stillwell as Channing, Corbin Bleu as himself, Dara Reneé as Kourtney, Frankie Rodriguez as Carlos, Jason Earles as Dewey Wood, Joe Serafini as Seb, JoJo Siwa as Madison, Joshua Bassett as Ricky, Julia Lester as Ashlyn, Kate Reinders as Miss Jenn, Larry Saperstein as Big Red, Liamani Segura  as Emmy, Matt Cornett as EJ, as Meg Donnelly as Val, Olivia Rose Keegan as Lily, Saylor Bell Curda as Maddox, and Sofia Wylie as Gina.
