Hideo Kojima Ludens Glasses Mask

Legendary Death Stranding and Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima is teaming up with designer glasses company Jean-Francois Rey for a new line of spectacles based on the former post-apocalyptic game, and pre-orders will soon be available. Kojima and J.F. Rey have collaborated many times in the past, with the company’s glasses being worn by characters onscreen in 2015’s Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and Kojima himself often sporting a stylish pair of J.F. Rey frames whenever he’s making promotional appearances (or even showing up for a quick cameo in games like Cyberpunk 2077).

On Monday, Kojima announced a new limited edition set of J.F. Rey glasses based on Death Stranding on his official Twitter account. This set will come in three unique frame designs created by Kojima himself and include a pair of sun clips which can be attached to either the front or sides of the glasses. Additionally, there's a 3D-printed collectible mask patterned after the "Ludens Mask” visor worn by Death Stranding protagonist Sam Bridges (played by Norman Reedus). Kojima revealed pre-orders will soon be available on J.F. Rey’s official website, though an exact street date for the Hideo Kojima X Jean-Francois Rey Death Stranding Capsule Collection has yet to be announced.

Players have recently been diving back into the post-modern world of Death Stranding thanks to the release of Death Stranding Director’s Cut. Accordingly, Kojima's latest team-up with J.F. Rey comes at an opportune moment for players with the extra cash to channel their inner Sam Porter Bridges with the Hideo Kojima X Jean-Francois Rey Death Stranding Capsule Collection.
