HGTV's Hidden Potential star Jasmine Roth is finally going to be a mom! She revealed to the world that she and husband Brett Roth are "finally getting to join the club" for parents now that they are expecting their first child.
Jasmine and Brett met while being roommates in college and then were married in 2013. The pair decided to travel and focus on their careers before settling down and starting a family. Jasmine founded her own company, Custom Built Homes LLC, which drew the attention of HGTV, who contacted her about having her own show. Jasmine is the star of Hidden Potential, a reality TV home renovation show which helps potential buyers decide on their dream home. Brett, who was busy with his own company, and Jasmine both wanted a family but were never sure of when the right time would be for them because of their demanding schedules.
Jasmine and her husband proudly announced via People that they are expecting their first child together. The baby is due to arrive on April 27th, 2020 and they couldn't be happier. Jasmine explained the magnitude of their joy at the news of finally starting their own family, she said, "The word ‘excited’ just doesn’t properly serve the emotions, feelings and overall smile I have been carrying since finding out the news." Jasmine explained that finally being able to be a mother is part of her dream and feels like she's joining an exclusive club, "I have always admired ([with] a complete sense of awe) seeing parents raising their children, and I feel like I’m finally getting to join the club. And what an exclusive club it is!" She posted a baby announcement on her Instagram and wrote about how she's feeling "nervous, ecstatic, terrified, overjoyed" all at once - see the post the below:
The couple has a love of traveling and the two have documented their travels through social media. However, Jasmine revealed that getting pregnant now feels like the right time, saying, "We have literally checked off most of our bucket list in regards to travel." The Hidden Potential star revealed that being parents likely wont slow them down from their business ventures, saying, "I think we will always be entrepreneurs and global travelers, and I hope that will be a big part of our child’s life as well." Jasmine revealed that her first trimester of pregnancy has been rough going, saying, "Morning sickness is no joke and it’s not just in the morning, it’s all day." However, she explained that it's totally worth it and she's "in awe of what our bodies can do." The mom-to-be even revealed her biggest cravings, "Cobb salad from IHOP," and admitted that she's basically "been living off of boxed mac and cheese."
The new baby, who will be making his or her debut into the world next spring and it couldn't be at a better time for the young couple. Though Jasmine did admit that she never thought she would be ready, it seems like it was all apart of the plan. Fans can't help but wonder what the Hidden Potential star thinks up in terms of design for the baby's nursery.
