In a new preview for Marvel Comics' upcoming Heroes Reborn event, the vampire hunter Blade confirms that the remade Marvel Universe may be better than the one he alone remembers. The upcoming event will see the entire world somehow transformed, creating a new universe where the Avengers never assembled as Earth Mightiest Heroes. Instead, the Squadron Supreme are filling that role which has created a massive domino effect that has affected the entire universe. However, while Blade remembers what was, he wonders if things might have changed for the better in this new universe.

Heroes Reborn will be coming from current Avengers writer Jason Aaron and artist Ed McGuinness and see the entire Marvel Universe somehow being remade with no Avengers. While the heroes themselves are still in existence, Tony Stark never built his Iron Man suit, Thor doesn't believe in the gods, and Captain America is still on ice. Instead, the Squadron Supreme has risen to take the place of the Avengers, which is certainly problematic considering how they've recently been revealed to be secret brainwashed tools of Agent Phil Coulson (who's in the service of the Demon Lord Mephisto).

Now, despite all of reality having been changed with a new status quo, Blade somehow remembers how things are supposed to be, as seen in the new preview for Heroes Reborn #1. Recent comics have seen Blade as a member of the Avengers, though it's as of yet unclear why he's the only one who remembers his main reality. Confusing things more, Blade actually thinks that this new world might even be better off, seeing as how there's an entire race of creatures he's been unable to detect there: vampires. Here's the synopsis for the upcoming issue and preview pages from Marvel Comics:

HEROES REBORN #1 A WORLD WITHOUT AVENGERS!

Welcome to a world where Tony Stark never built an Iron Man armor. Where Thor is a hard-drinking atheist who despises hammers. Where Wakanda is dismissed as a myth. And where Captain America was never found in the ice because there were no Avengers to find him. Instead this world has always been protected by Earth's Mightiest Heroes, the Squadron Supreme of America. And now the Squadron faces an attack from some of their fiercest enemies, like Dr. Juggernaut, the Black Skull, the Silver Witch and Thanos with his Infinity Rings. But why is the Daywalker Blade the one man alive who seems to remember that the entire world has somehow been...reborn?

Currently, in the normal Marvel Universe, vampires are a big deal. Dracula has been making big strides to secure his own sanctioned vampire nation with the United Nations in the irradiated regions of Chernobyl, and both the Avengers and X-Men are preparing for the inevitable shoe to drop that will lead to an all-out superhero/vampire war. Naturally, Blade the Vampire Hunter has been on the front lines and closely monitoring the situation, and the Avengers and U.N just appointed him to be the vampire nation's official sheriff to keep an eye on things and maintain law and order. However, Blade's entire purpose as a hero isn't necessary for this remade Marvel Universe, and that's obviously pretty concerning on a personal level for the Daywalker.

In any case, vampires or no vampires, it looks as though there are still threats and villains in need of stopping (such as Dr. Juggernaut). So it looks as though Blade will still have a job to do in Heroes Reborn, as he'll most likely be trying to reassemble the Avengers to try and set things right. However, given what Blade's seen thus far, should the Marvel Universe be remade back into what it was? Fans will have to wait and see when the first issue of Heroes Reborn releases soon from Marvel Comics.
