Each character has a unique playstyle that separates itself from the others on the roster. Allowing players to play a variety of unique, fun, and satisfying characters, providing a nice amount of variety between matches. However, every hero has to start somewhere, and this guide can be that starting point. Here some key tips and tricks to assist new players in succeeding in My Hero One's Justice 2.

Picking a Main Character in My Hero One's Justice 2

The diverse cast of characters in My Hero One's Justice 2 allows players a variety of options to choose from. Everyone from Shoot-style Deku to Gang Orca, One's Justice 2 provides its fans with a bounty of iconic characters from the anime. However, choosing one can be a more difficult process than it seems. Finding the "right" playstyle for you require a decent amount of experimentation. However, With enough time any player can discover the right character for them.

The first thing you want to do when examining the vast roster of Justice 2, is to find your favorite characters from either the show or a visual standpoint. Its a lot more motivating to play fighting games with a character you like and enjoy their visual design, having to force yourself to play a character you dislike for the sake of being good is nothing more than an easy chore. A good practice to get into is to create a list of characters you are interested in and going from there.

After assembling your list, go to training mode to get a feel for the character archetype you feel confident in. Some players prefer a longer range style, and some like to lay down constant pressure on their opponents with rapid fast attacks or power grabs. Either way, just experiment to figure out which style fits for you.

Understanding the My Hero One's Justice 2 Mechanics

After deciding which character you wish to main, it is important to truly master the game's mechanics, as you have a firm grasp of how matches typically go.

Every character in the game has a jump button, a dash, an attack, and two quirk buttons. Think of your quirk buttons as your "special moves" of the game. By pressing either of your two quirk buttons players will get a different special move, while the attack button stays relatively the same. By pressing the attack button rapidly your character will perform a powerful combo that dishes out some impressive damage. Each attack and both of your quirks can be altered by performing a "tilt" attack. To perform this attack simply tilt the stick toward your opponent and press attack. This will perform a counter style of attack which absorbs a hit in order to dish out another powerful attack. Performing a tilt quirk attack will grant players access to another special move.

Blocking is another key mechanic within One's Justice 2, as it is your primary way of preventing damage being done to you. Keep in mind, however, that your guard is connected to an important meter which when depleted breaks a character's guard leaving them open to attack. While holding guard you can perform an unblockable (or a grab in other fighting games) which can break through an opponent's guard.

Learning How to Perform Combos in My Hero One's Justice 2

Although My Hero One's Justice 2 doesn't have a traditional "juggling" style combo structure, the game does allow players to convert combos into huge damage potential. In order to access these high damage combos, one important mechanic needs to be memorized and mastered. And that mechanic is the rather technical dash canceling mechanic.

When performing a dash cancel, players need to cancel a certain attack animation by pressing the dash button. This will cancel the startup of your next attack, whether it be an auto-combo or your initial strike allowing you to continue your combo. The way a player can determine if a dash cancel has been performed correctly is by looking for the dark blue aura to appear, which is the main sign that the cancel has been correctly performed.

This technique can be done on the ground or air, however, if done in the air characters are limited to only one dash cancel. When done in conjunction with a character's super or Plus Ultra attacks, which are performed by pressing both of the quirk buttons together. So a technically sound player will be able to utilize these dash cancel combos to perform parts of their auto combo more than once and end it in one of their super or Plus Ultra attacks dishing out massive damage. This may take some practice to master, but when figured out this will allow new players to dish out massive damage in no time.
