Warning! Spoilers ahead for My Hero Academia chapter 341!

The late League of Villains member Twice is destined to "return" in a future chapter of My Hero Academia through his colleague and friend Himiko Toga's Transform quirk. The fact that Himiko still looks upon Twice fondly means that she will also be able to wield his Double power.

In the unofficially translated version of chapter 341, the villain Dabi invites Himiko to help him put an end to "this pathetic world" - this world undoubtedly referring to the one that hero society created since he wants nothing else than to watch his father Endeavor fall. Himiko attempts to bring some perspective to Dabi's invitation by telling him that the heroes won't let them, to which Dabi claims that the heroes are stretched too thin before giving a vial of Twice's blood to Himiko who looks upon the specimen fondly.

It was a pivotal moment when readers (and Himiko herself) first learned that Himiko could also gain control of a person's quirk so long as she deeply cared for the user whose blood she originally sucked to assume their form and voice. Himiko first achieved this ability after sucking the blood of hero Ochako Uraraka, leveraging Ochako's Zero Gravity quirk during the Paranormal Liberation War. But when the villain confessed this to Ochako, the hero reacted vehemently. Ochako obviously did not condone her powers being used to hurt others and made sure she expressed her disgust, a reaction that deeply hurt Himiko in the process. Himiko won't get this reaction from Twice after consuming his blood for obvious reasons, but more importantly, he would have been honored if this happened when he was still alive. That's because he and Himiko were quirk close, a closeness that only deepened when his clone died in her arms.

The tragedy of how Twice died only makes the fact that Himiko just obtained his blood even more emotional. Twice cared deeply about the friends he made after joining the League of Villains, especially considering his dark origin story that shares many similarities with Joker. So, when the number-two hero Hawks infiltrated the league as a spy, Twice wanted to believe him and did, but was killed as a result. This tragic turn of events was exacerbated further by how Himiko learned of her friend's passing. Up until then, the two had already shared a touching moment when Himiko helped stave off one of Twice's psychotic episodes that derived from his irrational fear that he would lose his mind without his mask. His mask had been torn in this particular instance and Himiko used her handkerchief to help him fix it. On the day Twice died, the story of the handkerchief came full circle when one of Twice's clones saved Himiko and then used the handkerchief to lovingly clean a cut off Himiko's face before melting away. It was heartbreaking that Himiko had to learn of her Twice's death this way, but at least she was able to thank and share this touching moment with a vestige of her dying friend before he disappeared.

Even though fans will get to see Twice again through Himiko Toga's quirk, what will be more moving is how Himiko herself will react when this happens. As her personality revolves around her powers, Himiko will likely fully immerse herself in Twice's character, in what promises to be an incredible heart-wrenching moment in My Hero Academia.
