In a stunning new cosplay, My Hero Academia’s Pro Hero Hawks never looked more real than with a workable version of his "must-see-to-believe" iconic red wings.Despite the attention given to other Pro Heroes such as All Might, Endeavor, and Eraserhead, Hawks' role in the all-consuming struggle against All For One and his agents of evil has been no less noteworthy. Some of his operations such as his Infernal Affairs-like infiltration of the Paranormal Liberation Front were as risky as they were essential to the Hero Community's exposure of All For One's plans for Shigaraki. Additionally, Hawks' has one of the most extensive intelligence databases on all things villain in the world. Outside his undercover abilities, some even consider Hawks stronger than My Hero Academia's protagonist Deku.Related: Why My Hero Academia's Great Art Actually Makes the Series WorseIn a brilliant eye-catching post to Twitter, CosplayYourWay shows cosplay artist mille.nuages as Hawks in all his feathered glory. It's the perfect depiction of how Hawks would look in the real world. While many Pro Heroes can, if they chose, melt into the public without anyone being wiser. At times, the ability to hide in plain sight has its advantages. Hawks doesn't have this capability due to the two massive red-feathered wings that sprout out of his back. Not that Hawks minds, they not only give him the ability to fly with extreme speed and agility but also due to his quirk's ability to mentally control each individual feathers. This cosplay captures this iconic aspect of Hawks perfectly.

Hawks' Wings Are Not Just For Flying

In addition to providing Hawks with a means of transportation, one of the unique aspects of Hawks' wings is that their feathers can be weaponized. Contrary to their seemingly fragile nature, his feathers are quite strong and sharp. Accordingly, Hawks can use them in his hands as a sword-like weapon to melee an opponent, or he can shoot them from his wings, like a throwing knife, individually or in bunches. The size of some feathers in mille.nuages cosplay suit indicates the tacit lethality Hawks' wings could have in battle.

While mille.nuages' cosplay would have been an awesome recreation of the My Hero Academia Pro Hero in and of itself, she goes a step further in the recreation by actually making the wings workable. Indeed, as the pose reveals, she can extend the wings just as Hawks does in the manga. By making it appear as if Hawks can take off and fly at any moment, she's able to orchestrate an amazing cosplay tweak that allows her to directly interact with the people and the surroundings rather than just standing passively for others to watch. It's the perfect cosplay for Hawks, one of My Hero Academia's most subtly important characters.
