Here's All the Officially Released HD Footage From The Last Jedi

Fans who enjoyed The Last Jedi and wanted to take a second look at some of the biggest scenes in the comfort of their homes can now do so, as a bunch of footage from the film has recently been made officially available. Even though turn around times on movies getting a home release are faster than ever, it’s still going to be a couple more months before people can experience all of The Last Jedi at home. The film only came out last month and is still in theaters in many areas, so this official footage can help tide Star Wars fans over before the movie is available to buy.

Though The Last Jedi had been in theaters for less than a month at the end of 2017 it had already become one of the most financially successful movies of last year. With the movie’s stay extending into 2018 it has now crossed over $1.2 billion at the worldwide box office, so it likely won’t be leaving theaters any time soon.

Though the film has been the most divisive of the modern Star Wars films, there’s no denying The Last Jedi has many powerful moments. The battle in Snoke’s throne room is often pointed to as the high point of the movie, but there are also long-awaited scenes like Leia’s reunion with Luke, and the confrontation between Kylo Ren and Luke. So getting to relive some of the movie’s best moments is a nice little treat for fans who can’t get out to the theater again.

The footage is all pulled from an official breakdown of the Easter Eggs in The Last Jedi. But naturally you can’t delve into a scene’s secrets without showing the scenes themselves. So the footage points out secrets like some of the movie’s cameos, such as a scene featuring Mark Hamill’s children, and another that includes the director of Rogue One. However that also includes revisiting some of the film’s most iconic moments, including lots of scenes of Porgs, of course.

The Last Jedi still has a long way to go if it’s going to crack the box office success of its predecessor, with The Force Awakens raking in over $2 billion by the end of its run. However, with it being known long before release that The Last Jedi was going to be the last appearance Carrie Fisher made before her passing, this is a movie that has drawn in fans not only to see a new generation of heroes, but to bid farewell to ones from our childhood.
