In World of Warcraft, players can choose a profession for their characters that can help them gather, make, and enhance items that might be useful in later gameplay. Thanks to the recent level squish that took place prior to the release of the Shadowlands expansion, having and leveling up a profession can help players progress their characters toward the new level cap. There are plenty of new items and resources to discover in Shadowlands as well that can add new content and excitement to a player's chosen professions. One profession in which this is especially apparent is Herbalism, as there are six new herbs to harvest and use.

Players can level up their professions more quickly by seeking the aid of a trainer. The trainers in the Shadowlands expansion are almost all concentrated to Oribos. This is the main city and hub in the expansion. The Herbalism trainer, Selector Au’mar can be difficult to locate in Oribos if players don't know where to look, but, for players who choose this profession or who plan to, it is worth stopping to see this character for guidance with the new plants. Here's where to find the Herbalism trainer NPC in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands.

Where to Find The Herbalism Trainer in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands

Players will find Selector Au'mar in the Hall of Shapes in Oribos. The exact coordinates for his location are 40, 38. If players are still progressing through the Maw, they will need to just continue with the main story until they are naturally transported to Oribos.

Speaking to Selector Au'mar can help players level up Herbalism quickly and get comfortable with the new herbs, Rising Glory, Marrowroot, Vigil's Touch, Widowbloom, Death Blossom, and Nightshade. Players who are not already involved in the Herbalism profession can also choose to learn it as a replacement for one of their current professions by speaking to the trainer.

Upon receiving the necessary training, players can begin gathering in Shadowlands. They can level up their Herbalism skills more quickly and gather more herbs for use in recipes by checking out two Covenant areas, Bastion and Ardenwald. These are two open areas in the game with few enemies to interrupt gathering where herbs grow fairly commonly. Players can also only find Rising Glory, Marrowroot, Vigil's Touch, and Widowbloom exclusively at one of each Covenant zone.

Another way to more quickly and easily level up the Herbalism profession is to enchant the character's gloves with Shadowlands Gathering. This enhancement will increase gathering speed for the character across the different areas in Shadowlands and does not cost much to purchase and apply.

Selecting the Herbalism profession is an investment for players working on leveling up to the new cap, which sits at Level 60. When a player chooses Herbalism, they earn some XP from every herb they gather. Herbalism also pairs well with Alchemy and Inscription, as players can gather and then use the materials. This would be especially good for players looking to explore the new recipes in the expansion. Herbalists can also earn quite a bit of money from selling herbs at the Auction House.
