Hellsing's sadistic villain Zorin Blitz seems to be a loving tribute to Christopher Walken's James Bond bad guy of the same name from A View To A Kill. The Hellsing manga was created by Kouta Hirano and follows the adventures of the titular organization, which was founded by none other than Dracula's nemesis Van Helsing. They protect the UK from assorted vampire attacks, with the ace up their sleeve being Alucard, the original vampire who was once known as Dracula.

Hellsing has become something of a cult favorite, spawning both an anime show and a ten-part OVA series. The show is incredibly violent and stylish, with a host of memorable characters from Alucard to Walter, Integra Hellsing and Alexander Anderson. The franchise's popularity seems set to expand with Amazon currently developing a live-action movie based on Hellsing. While no cast or crew has been confirmed, John Wick screenwriter Derek Kolstad will pen the film.

Hellsing is also blessed - if that's the right term - with some memorable villains, from the aforementioned Anderson to the ever-smirking Major. One of the most sadistic is Zorin Blitz, a female vampire and member of the Nazi Millennium Organization. She's the one who leads the assault on Hellsing manor following the invasion of London later in the story, and she makes a particular enemy of Seras during the attack. Zorin has a striking design, with one side of her body being covered in tattoos that allow her to cast terrifying illusions against victims or even delve into their subconscious. She also, oddly, seems heavily inspired by A View To A Kill's villain Zorin.

Christopher Walken played Zorin in A View To A Kill, which marked the final outing of Roger Moore's version of 007. Zorin has a colorful backstory, being the creation of Nazi experiments to create "super-children," which had the dual effect of making Zorin a genius and psychopath. Other than their shared names and Nazi background, Hellsing's Zorin also rides into battle against Hellsing manor on a zeppelin, while A View To A Kill ends with Zorin's zeppelin getting stuck over the Golden Gate Bridge.

A View To A Kill's Zorin was originally offered to David Bowie, though the singer passed on the role. Zorin Blitz's design even appears to incorporate some influence from Bowie too. Blitz has a condition known as heterochromia, meaning her right eye is a different color than the left, though, in the case of David Bowie, he had anisocoria, with one pupil being larger than the other. Zorin Blitz's look in Hellsing feels like a mashup of Walken's villain with Bowie's more androgynous fashion, making her one of the franchise's most memorable antagonists.
