After an unexpected illness, Fabiola Fuentes was eliminated on Hell’s Kitchen season 19, episode 3, “Hell Caesar!” Fabiola’s sudden illness left her teammates questioning her sincerity and had Gordon Ramsay questioning her ability as a chef. The entire episode left Hell’s Kitchen fans wondering what happened with her sudden sickness. On the Hell’s Kitchen episode, Fabiola and the Red Team won the Caesar salad challenge. Their reward was a dune buggy excursion. Fabiola was just as excited as the other women on her team when she left, but when the Red Team got back, Fabiola was hysterical and requested a paramedic. She was given some electrolytes and tried to rest before the dinner service.
When Fabiola headed to Hell’s Kitchen to help with the Red Team’s service, she had one mishap after another while cooking flatbread. Gordon Ramsay decided to eliminate her when the Red Team made too many mistakes that night. Fabiola’s dramatic turn had a lot of fans wondering what was going on, especially when fellow Red Team members accused her of faking it. Curious fans took to Instagram to find out from Fabiola why she felt so sick.
Fabiola Fuentes responded to a fan who commented under one of her recent Hell’s Kitchen photos by saying:
I wish I could talk about it ... they can pick what they want to show and not and boy did they decide to not show alot ... all good I'm a keep doing me and keep pushing forward one day things will come to light and I leave that on God I did what I could.
Fabiola’s comments imply that a lot of things surrounding what happened that day, and her mysterious illness, was omitted by the producers and editors. Fabiola also stated that because of the non-disclosure agreement that she signed, she can’t go into details about the event. However, she seems at peace (at least for the moment) with her journey on Hell’s Kitchen.
Leading up to Hell’s Kitchen’s season 19 premiere, Fabiola was posting images promoting her season. Now that she was eliminated, she’s been responding to some of the positive comments she’s been getting on Instagram. She’s also posting images of her life in California. Overall, Fabiola seems fine now.
We don’t know what caused Fabiola’s meltdown, and we may never know, but the way she reacted to the cameras being in her face, it seems like she may have been having a panic attack of sorts. It could have been that and the addition of the Las Vegas heat that made Fabiola sick. Hell’s Kitchen has always been a little ruthless with how it portrays its contestants, so it’s not shocking that they turned Fabiola getting sick into something that the other women raised an eyebrow to, and as something to help justify her elimination. Luckily, Fabiola is all right and Hell’s Kitchen got a storyline out of it.
