Hellraiser's Kirsty Cotton is one of the most memorable protagonists in 1980s horror, and here's what happened to her after Hellbound: Hellraiser 2. Played by Ashley Laurence, who still attracts lines at horror conventions to this day, Kirsty has everything it takes to make a great horror movie survivor. She's smart, attractive, resourceful, brave but not to a foolish degree, and imminently likable, to the point where the audience genuinely doesn't want anything bad to happen to her.

Kirsty is a delight to watch tangle with both Pinhead and her wicked stepmother Julia in Clive Barker's original Hellraiser movie. Thankfully, Laurence reprised the role in Hellbound: Hellraiser 2, a sequel not quite as good as the original, but way better than most follow-ups to classics. Unfortunately, Laurence's Kirsty didn't come back for Hellraiser 3, outside of a brief cameo set during the timeframe of the second film. Considering the more slasher-esque change in direction the franchise took, that's probably for the best though.

That wasn't the last time Kirsty appeared in a Hellraiser movie though. She returned, briefly, for the sixth film, titled Hellraiser: Hellseeker, and released in 2002. It's much more obscure than her prior Hellraiser entries, but let's fans see what happened to her after Hellbound.

Between Hellbound: Hellraiser 2 and Hellraiser: Hellseeker, Kirsty found the time to get married, and seemingly try to live a normal life. Sadly, Trevor, the guy she married, ended up being a pretty terrible person. He cheated on her multiple times with multiple women, then tried to get her out of the way to inherit her money. He did this by having her reopen the Lament Configuration, and be taken away to Hell. If nothing else, at least it's a bit surprising that he believed her story about what happened in the first two films. Happily, the joke was on him, as Kirsty got the last laugh on her treacherous husband.

Kirsty took advantage of the clear fondness Pinhead always had for her, and was able to make a deal. Spare her life and soul, and Kirsty would gift Pinhead with five other souls. Impressed by her willingness to do whatever it takes to escape Hell, Pinhead agrees. Trevor is of course one of the souls, as is a person who had been conspiring with Trevor to try and kill Kirsty. The other three were the women Trevor had been cheating on her with. That's why adultery is a bad idea, especially when your wife is Hellraiser's Kirsty Cotton.
