With season 2 of The Hills: New Beginnings already starting filming, married couple and The Hills stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt weigh in on Kaitlynn Carter and Brody Jenner split and Carter's brief relationship with Miley Cyrus and talk about what fans can expect to see on season 2.

Pratt and Jenner have been friends since the second season of The Hills. Over the course of the remaining five seasons, the pair have had a complicated relationship. After Jenner dated Pratt's rival, Lauren Conrad, their relationship began to be strained. After Jenner met Carter, their relationship between Pratt remained "friendly" at best, except when Jenner and Carter went to Indonesia to get married to Carter and didn't invite Pratt or Montag. There were issues with Jenner and Carter fitting in with Montag and Pratt's circle, as they were under scrutiny for being secretive about their polyamorous relationship. Pratt even called out Jenner on his "fake" marriage to Carter. Newcomer Carter had also made enemies with The Pratt family when she said in the last episode of season 1 on The Hills: New Beginnings that she didn't care for them.

With an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Montag and Pratt were asked about Jenner and Carter's split and the fact that they've moved on so quickly with other people - Carter with Cyrus and Jenner with Victoria's Secret model Josie Canseco. Montag suggested that Jenner and Carter's open relationship was more than that at the end of season 1 of The Hills: New Beginnings, saying, "Did that happen before the end of season 1? Who knows, right? Maybe it was going on during and it was secretive. You never know! Those people are very secretive!" Pratt chimed in that he thinks, "it's amazing. I love it all." He had a prediction that since Cyrus has split with Carter and moved on quickly with a fling with Cody Simpson, he said, "As I was just telling Heidi on the way here, Cody Simpson, season 2 of The Hills, I think it's going down."

Kaitlynn Carter and Brody Jenner The Hills

Pratt weighed in on the idea of having Cyrus on the show, saying that it's "probably not likely," but Montag chimed in and said that it's not entirely off the table as Cyrus, saying, "I do think obviously she is a Hills fan though. She watching, she's engaged, she's friends with it." Pratt added, "She's dating castmembers sometimes." "Speidi" wasn't as nice when the questions turned toward Carter. When asked if "Kaitlynn is still part of this group," Heidi immediately jumped in, saying, "I don't know, she's never been apart of my group." Pratt had to stop himself and check in with the crystals hanging around with his neck to get some "positive vibes" before answering the question, saying, "I'm just going off the last episode when she said in her testimony when she said 'I don't care for them.' So, that's just resonating with me." They weren't however, against Carter filming again on season 2, saying, "I'm not 'anti' anyone," but he's not sure where he place would be on the show anymore. Pratt continued, "because would she film with Brody? Who would she film with?"

It seems like "Speidi" brought even more questions than they did answers. It's obvious that while they are filming they are to not reveal many details and add more mystery to the show to get fans to watch, and that's exactly what they did. It seems the bad blood that formed between the Pratt family and Carter may not be forgiven, which is another reason why producers should bring back newbie Carter to add more drama between the OG cast. It will remain to be seen who will be chosen to return for season 2 of The Hills: New Beginnings.
