If Netflix moves forward with The Healing Powers of Dude season 2, the new episodes will theoretically release in January 2021. However, it's worth noting that Netflix often breaks up family series into two parts, evidenced by recent shows like Prince of Peoria, No Good Nick, and Team Kaylie. In the penultimate episode of The Healing Powers of Dude season 1, Noah vomits during the big Halloween party while his emotional-support dog dances for a crowd, dressed as Chewbacca. Dude is briefly banished ("white-fanged") from the Ferris home, but quickly reunites with a remorseful Noah. At Roosevelt Middle school's E.T.-themed musical production, Noah bravely takes the stage with Amara and Simon, thus ending a low-key feud while taking a giant step forward in terms of his social anxiety.

The Healing Powers of Dude season 1 ends with the cat-loving Principal Meyers (Peter Benson) banning Dude from the school grounds, the result of a flea outbreak and subsequent evidence found on the emotional-support canine. The Healing Powers of Dude season 2 will seemingly further explore the value of a dog like Dude, and why he's needed at Roosevelt Middle School so that Noah can more easily deal with his anxieties. There's also some unresolved conflict to explore in The Healing Powers of Dude season 2 on Netflix, as Amara still doesn't know about Simon's secret crush, which - if not handled appropriately - could be the source of more stress for Noah.
