Popular Netflix animated show He-Man and the Masters of the Universe has finally been given its season 2 release date. Regarded as a reimagining of the original 1983 series of the same name, the show takes a fresh look at the world of He-Man and tries to tell stories that speak to a modern audience. The series was developed by Mattel Television and premiered on Netflix in September 2021, running 10 episodes of around 27 minutes each. Now, the success of the show has led Netflix to greenlight season 2. According to a tweet from the official Masters of the Universe Twitter account, fans won’t have to wait long, with the official He-Man season 2 release date announced as March 3. Check out the tweet below, featuring a bright, bold teaser poster, along with "#WeHaveThePower," a reference to the famous catchphrase from the original show:Related: He-Man: How The 2021 Remake Updates The Franchise - Every Change[EMBED_TWITTER]https://twitter.com/MastersOfficial/status/1486383522373939200[/EMBED_TWITTER]Details of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe season 2 are not well-known at this stage, but it seems likely that the voice cast, which includes Yuri Lowenthal, Kimberly Brooks, and David Kaye, will all return to reprise their roles in the highly reviewed show. Showrunner Rob David is set to return, and, having experience writing for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the past, he should have no problems continuing to tackle a large franchise. Indeed, David's role as head writer and lead creative for Mattel's Playground Productions, and his role in co-plotting the 2013 DC He-Man and the Masters of the Universe comic, make him the perfect choice to continue taking the show forward. Netflix and Mattel will be hoping He-Man and the Masters of the Universe season 2 is as well received as season 1.Next: Netflix's He-Man Universe Is Copying DCEU's Batman Strategy (& Doing It Better)Source: Masters of the Universe
