Prepare yourselves, He-Man fans, for a brand new adventure starring Eternia’s greatest champion in He-Man and The Masters of The Multiverse. Well, multiple versions of him uniting for one massive battle. And now, the first preview of that adventure has officially been released.
The six-issue series starts its run this November from writer Tim Seeley, artists Dan Fraga and Richard Friend, and cover artist Inhyuk Lee. Together, they'll be telling an epic last stand of great heroes protecting their kingdoms against a threat more familiar to readers of DC Comics and its infamous "Crisis" calamities. From the sound of it, the arrival of 'Anti-He-Man, scourge of Anti-Eternia' is exactly the kind of cosmic threat needed to drive the mighty He-Man to forge not only an alliance with other versions of himself across the Multiverse, but even his greatest enemy, Skeletor.
It's exactly the kind of ludicrous premise that may have once seemed strange for a hero like He-Man, but which previous crossovers like He-Man and Thundercats now make absolutely logical by comparison. Their worlds may be dead, but the surviving He-Men from across the Multiverse aren't giving up yet. But the strangest wrinkle to this story is offered up in the preview, showing that the alternate reality He-Men won't be uniting against an old foe, but a version of themselves. One who isn't afraid of ending his battle with Skeletor (in any universe, not just his own) in bloody fashion.
