Who doesn't love a satirical comedy about a rich family waiting for their patriarch to kick the bucket, so they can take over his multi-million dollar business. If that is something that sounds appealing then HBO's Succession should be placed on the must-watch list.

If one thinks about the show from a medieval perspective then they might find some similarities with another popular HBO series Game Of Thrones. Especially, when it comes to a dysfunctional family dynamic that resembles something closer to a WWE match rather than a Hallmark family get together. So just who in Succession would fit in well dining with the Lannisters?

Logan Roy: House Lannister

There was always something genuine about Tywin that differed from the fakeness that the other houses of Westeros were so fond of portraying. Tywin always made it clear that this family name was first and foremost the most important thing to him. He disliked Tyrion but as for the other two children, Tywin always considered them as lacking the fundamentals to rule. Logan Roy, who built his company from the ground up is experiencing a similar problem. He has children to rule but trusts none to run the company the way he wants it to be run.

Shiv Roy: House Tyrell

Being Logan's only girl, it would seem unfortunate but often times natural for one of his son's to be his successor. That said, out of all of Logan's children, Shiv is the most capable of the Roy children. She has a fundamental leadership ability that causes those around her to fall in line. She is also quite comfortable with being at the head of the table. She is ambitious with an eye always wandering towards a place in politics. House Tyrell was never the strongest but for the most part, were the wisest of all the houses of Westeros.

Roman Roy: House Martell

Unlike their northern counterparts in House Tyrell, House Martell was led by brash individuals who never planned ahead for more than a moment. Oberyn might not have been in charge but he was the most powerful member of the family. His life was cut short due to his arrogance when facing the Mountain.

After his death, his wife and children behaved with a similar rash compulsion, that at least in the television series resulted in their deaths. Roman Roy has the confidence that fits the profile of a CEO of a company but lacks maturity.

Kendall Roy: House Lannister

Like Tywin Lannister, Logan Roy faces a similar dilemma in that the one child that is set to run the family business is a natural buffoon. One who would rather snort his life away with his cocaine addiction than act responsibly. Kendall is Succession's Tyrion Lannister in that every time he is given some responsibility, he manages to screw things up. However, unlike Tyrion, Kendall is obsessed with ruling the family's business, believing himself as the rightful heir and the one most suited to succeed. Though, his father strongly disagrees with this assessment.

Connor Roy: House Baratheon

Some houses like the idea of leading but when power falls in their lap, they are not sure if this is the right lifestyle for them. Robert Baratheon wanted to win the war but didn't want to rule afterward. He instead, preferred to live out his days having hundreds of illegitimate children, while drinking his last days away. Connor Roy has similar behavior, as unlike most of his family, he isn't that interested in taking ownership of his father's company. Instead, preferring the safe confines of life on a ranch in New Mexico.

Marcia Roy: House Stark

Logan Roy isn't the first rich man Marcia has been married to. She understands that perception is more important than reality, especially when it comes to shareholders. Marcia doesn't always have the best relationship with Logan's family but does try to keep things as civil as possible.

Though, some of Logan's philandering ways do get underneath her skin. Catelyn Stark has a very similar disposition as Marcia. When in the spotlight she tries her best to hold things together for no other reason than perception but behind the scenes, she can be cold and manipulative.

Tom Wamsgans: House Tully

Tom Wamsgans has always felt like an outsider. He might be married to Shiv Roy and work in the Roys' family business but never seems to know the things that Logan's inner circle knows. Even though in his own right, he is a very accomplished man, he still feels like his wife is constantly undermining him. This lack of trust between the two parties makes him question what is going on behind his back. House Tully was always an important family but one that never truly held true power. They married accomplished people but never held the reins themselves.

Greg Hirsch: House Baelish

Greg has the Roys' blood in his veins, just not the money. He goes to New York to ask his Great Uncle Logan for a position in the company, to which Logan agrees. However, after Logan's stroke, Greg has to pick sides between Logan's kids to find his place in the company and in the family. This isn't that much different from what Petyr Baelish had to do on his journey to the top. Baelish was a survivor first and foremost who placed his personal feelings aside so that he could choose the winning side.

Frank Vernon: House Stark

Frank is the COO of Waystar Royco and a close, personal ally of Logan Roy. Frank is loyal but not stupid. Sadly, when Logan's family starts to feel that he is losing his touch, the rest of the family begins to undermine him. If the deceit within his own family isn't bad enough, Frank's betrayal of Logan's trust devastates him.

Eddard Stark was never king but when he started to see the king losing grip of his kingdom, he did what was needed even if it broke his friendship with King Robert.

Gerri Killman: House Tyrel

Gerri Killman has been a long-time adviser to Logan Roy and his family. She is accustomed to hearing out the room and making assessments on the fly. Her voice of reason is always constructive and always places the Roy family and their company in the best light. She is the very definition of a company woman. House Tyrell wasn't the strongest militarily especially compared to that of the Lannisters' army, but they were the richest and the best in acquiring powerful allies. Their bargaining ability makes them one of the strongest houses in Westeros.
