As the holiday season begins, HBO Max is adding several Christmas-themed film premieres and the returns of hit TV shows in November 2022. HBO Max’s new additions in October 2022 were huge for the streaming service, primarily with House of the Dragon’s season 1 finale on October 23. For HBO Max’s TV series debuts, the month saw the premieres of The White Lotus season 2 and Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman’s Butler season 3. The end of October also saw the exciting HBO Max streaming premiere of the 2022 horror movie Barbarian.
HBO Max’s November 2022 additions kick off with the streaming debut of See How They Run (November 1), the Sam Rockwell-starring mystery movie that premiered theatrically in September. Also arriving are the holiday-themed exclusive HBO Max movies A Christmas Story Christmas (November 17), a follow-up to the 1983 classic; Holiday Harmony (November 24), following a singer-songwriter helping a group of misfit kids prepare for a Christmas Eve performance; and A Christmas Mystery (November 24), in which kids solve the mystery of why Santa’s jingle bells disappeared. The TV shows returning in November include Titans season 4 (November 3) and The Sex Lives of College Girls season 2 (November 17). Here’s everything else coming to HBO Max in November 2022.

November’s new titles also mean that many HBO Max movies will be leaving the service at the end of the month. The movies leaving HBO Max include The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies on November 2, Dunkirk on November 11, and 2021’s Godzilla vs. Kong on November 16. HBO Max subscribers will also have until the last day of November 2022 to watch the Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th franchises, Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, and The Aviator.
In addition to all the new movies and TV shows arriving in November, HBO Max subscribers still have plenty to look forward to in December 2022 and 2023. Arriving on HBO Max in December are His Dark Materials season 3 and Doom Patrol season 4. However, subscribers will have to wait until 2023 for HBO Max to drop anticipated series like Succession season 4, The Idol, The Last of Us, The White House Plumbers, Winning Time season 2, The Gilded Age season 2, and Curb Your Enthusiasm season 12.
