July 2022 will bring new spinoffs, returning series, comedy TV show premieres, and the streaming debuts of hit movies to HBO Max. As the blockbuster season begins, HBO Max will inevitably see the additions of many big-name movies throughout the summer. From long-awaited TV series debuts to movie streaming premieres, July 2022 will kick off a trend of highly-anticipated summer entertainment with HBO Max’s new titles.
The additions to HBO Max in June 2022 included the season 4 premiere of HBO’s hit series Westworld, which will continue to debut new episodes throughout July. The platform also saw the arrival of the limited TV series Irma Vep alongside documentaries like The Janes and Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain. However, June 2022 wasn’t a big month for new movies on HBO Max, with the Oscar Isaac-starring The Card Counter (2021) and the HBO Max Original The Father of the Bride remake being the most notable streaming debuts of the month.
HBO Max will be kicking off July 2022 with the arrival of Edgar Wright’s popular 2021 horror movie Last Night in Soho (July 1), which is making its streaming premiere on the platform. HBO Max will also be the home for the streaming debut of the positively-reviewed The Bob’s Burgers Movie (July 12), which just premiered in theaters on May 27, 2022. TV shows coming to the streaming platform in July 2022 include season 2 of the reality dating series FBOY Island (July 14), the series premiere of Issa Rae’s comedy Rap Sh!t (July 21), and the premiere of the HBO Max’s reboot series Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin (July 28). Here’s everything else coming to HBO Max in July 2022.

On July 31, HBO Max will be saying goodbye to Austin Powers in Goldmember, Bridget Jones’ Diary, In the Heat of the Night, the Lethal Weapon film series, Christopher Nolan’s Tenet and Inception, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, and the Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan rom-com You’ve Got Mail. However, HBO Max subscribers still have new content to look forward to in upcoming months, including the premiere of the Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon on August 21 and The Last of Us in early 2023.
