Marvel’s upcoming Hawkeye series will kick off with a two-episode premiere on Disney+ in November, according to the show’s latest trailer. The new MCU series stars Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye/Clint Barton and Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, with a supporting cast that includes Vera Farmiga, Tony Dalton, Alaqua Cox, Fra Fee, Zahn McClarnon, and Florence Pugh. Hawkeye will be the fifth Disney+ original series in MCU Phase 4, following the releases of WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, and Marvel’s What If…?

The MCU’s Disney+ shows have been the main substance of Phase 4 so far, with WandaVision and Loki in particular adding huge details to the MCU lore and earning high praise from critics and viewers. Hawkeye has been highly anticipated as well, particularly for its introduction of Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop – a casting choice that was widely supported even before it was officially announced. Fortunately, it won’t be long before Hawkeye arrives.

Per new information from Marvel Studios, Hawkeye will release its first two episodes on Disney+ at the same time when it premieres on November 24. Since the series is just six episodes long, that will time out such that the Hawkeye finale premieres just a couple of days before Christmas. For MCU devotees, that’s a nice way to start off the holiday season.

All the marketing materials around Hawkeye have positioned it firmly as a holiday special – a fun twist for the MCU. However, that doesn’t mean that the show won’t still have some big implications for MCU Phase 4 at large. Pugh’s Yelena Belova will return from Black Widow, theoretically as an antagonist to Hawkeye and Kate. The show could also finally flesh out the character of Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), who’s been built up subtly as one of the main villains of Phase 4.

Whatever Hawkeye ends up having in store, viewers will get a healthy helping of it with the series’ two-part premiere on November 24. WandaVision began the MCU’s Disney+ era with a two-episode premiere, and now, Hawkeye will wrap up the franchise’s year of streaming in the same way. It won’t be the end of the MCU’s original TV series, however, as many more are on the way. In 2022 alone, the franchise will release exciting new Marvel shows like Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, and Secret Invasion, bringing in lots of new characters to carry the Marvel universe forward. Until then, fans can enjoy Hawkeye starting with its two-episode premiere on November 24.
