Yelena Belova actress Florence Pugh shares her emotional reaction to Clint Barton's visit to the Avengers Memorial in Disney+'s Hawkeye series. Pugh made her MCU debut as Natasha Romanoff's (Scarlett Johannson) sister and fellow Black Widow agent in Black Widow. The star reprised her role in the fourth episode of the Disney+ series, "Partners, Am I Right?".

In Hawkeye episode 5, "Ronin," after his encounter with Yelena and learning that Tracksuit Mafia leader Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) has the names of his family, Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) cuts ties with Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld). With the ghosts of his past looming over his shoulder, Clint visits the New York Avengers Memorial, a landmark made in tribute to the original six Avengers who stood against Loki's (Tom Hiddleston) Chitauri invasion. Remembering his closest friend Natasha, Clint apologizes to his fallen fellow Avenger for what he must do next. With Natasha's death looming over Hawkeye in many ways, the series has been able to explore Clint's vulnerabilities and emotional side more than ever.

On her Instagram account, Pugh shared an image of the plaque that celebrated the heroes of the final battle of 2012's The Avengers. Alongside the image, Pugh commented on the scene, quoting Clint and praising Renner's performance, revealing that it had her "in bits." Calling Clint's visit to the memorial "beautiful" for fully exploring his grief over losing Natasha, Pugh reiterated that she was still grateful to be part of the show and was thankful for the love she received from the Marvel fandom over her return. Check out Pugh's emotional response below:

Though Yelena is hellbent on killing Clint to avenge the role he played in Natasha's death, Pugh has been enthusiastic about working on the show. Pugh celebrated her return to the MCU on Instagram, unfortunately resulting in the social media site temporarily blocking her account due to her posting spoilers. Pugh's boyfriend, actor Zach Braff, shared another reaction video by Pugh, where she humorously dubbed over her episode 4 return. Bert and Bertie, the directors of episodes 3 through 5 of Hawkeye, also praised Pugh for her work on the series, celebrating her approach to Yelena's character.

Pugh and Yelena have quickly become fan-favorite parts of the MCU, with the character's enthusiasm for vests and witty comments on Natasha's Avengers life solidifying her place among the franchise's most beloved characters. Pugh has been incredibly enthusiastic over her time in the MCU, so her comment on a scene that not only pays tribute to a fan-favorite character but to one of the franchise's most defining moments is welcome to see. With Pugh previously sharing her dream Marvel teammates, hopefully, Yelena will continue to be a mainstay in the MCU beyond Hawkeye.
