The trailer for Hawkeye revealed that a show titled Rogers! The Musical will be making its debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Clearly re-telling the life and career of Steve Rogers, there are countless iconic moments from the hero's timeline that need to be immortalized on the stage.

From his humble origins to the formation of the Earth's Mightiest Heroes and his final showdown with The Mad Titan, these moments will live on forever in the minds of fans and have to be symbolized in some dramatic way in the theater. Of course, while the show might not be totally accurate to what happened, it's still a fun way for Cap's legacy to live on.

Honorable Mention: Passing The Mantle

Plenty of characters have wielded the Captain American shield in both the comics and the MCU. For Steve Rogers, an important part of his life is the way in which he has shared the mantle. There should at the very least be a montage in the show of the other people that have helped to create the iconography of Captain America as a hero.

Isaiah Bradley, of course, deserves recognition as part of this, as does Sam Wilson who currently suits up as the star-spangled man. It would be a public relations disaster if the show was to make mention of John Walker though, who quite literally bloodied the shield.

Becoming The Super Soldier

Steve Roger's humble beginnings as a kid that wanted to do his dad proud and follow in his footsteps are rife with musical potential. Turned away again and again from the military, his good heart is what earned him a spot in the super-soldier program, which is where his journey began.

While some of Steve Rogers' most heroic moments will be put on stage, it's easy to imagine the spectacle of the practical effects the musical would want to utilize to help bring this piece of propaganda to life, with sparks flying and fog billowing out. There's definitely a musical number to be had about the machine going wrong before a vigilante emerges from the smoke.

The Press Tour

The press tour portion of Steve's life really writes itself. After all, there's already a musical number associated with the hero, since Captain America went from city to city, helping boost morale by starring in numerous propaganda movies, press conferences, and stage shows, which see him punching Adolf Hitler in the face 5 nights a week.

It's a fan-favorite moment from the movie and pays homage to the comics. Considering its origins, therefore, can be found on the stage in the MCU, it really needs to be immortalized by becoming part of Rogers! The Musical; the moment probably even inspired the concept.

Out In The Field

The Howling Commandos break into a Hydra warehouse in Captain America The First Avenger

Rogers' Captain America broke from rank, rebelling against the rules as he went off on his own mission to rescue his friends and allies, who were being held captive at the hands of Hydra. His time in the field in WWII is what really built the legend of Captain America and it simply can't go missing from the musical.

Amongst these conflicts is a loss so great that it would go on to define Steve's journey. Bucky's supposed death has been well documented and belongs in the narrative of the musical as the titular hero attempts to come to terms with his grief. Missing this crucial beat would also mean events down the line wouldn't make much sense.

Rescued From The Ice

Captain America Found In Ice

No one will be able to name a more iconic image of Cap than when his body is found in the middle of an ice block. His return to the modern world is a key part of his tale, as the mythology surrounding the hero wouldn't be quite as grand if he had never had a chance to continue his heroics today.

There's sure to be a rousing number dedicated to America finding their Captain once more; an inspirational moment for anyone who idolized Steve. Once again, without this moment, nothing else would make sense, and surely the musical wouldn't miss out on the opportunity of re-enacting the decade-defining discovery of the man in the ice.

The Avengers

The trailer for Hawkeye has already shown that fans will see The Avengers in action on stage, as Captain America fights alongside his companions for the first time. The Battle of New York has come to be a major turning point for society in the MCU.

The emergence of these superheroes on the public stage really shifted the momentum of the Universe and thrust Captain America into the spotlight once more. Cap has largely been considered to be the leader of The Avengers and to leave the group out would not only be a disservice to his story but would also rob the musical of some ensemble numbers.

The Winter Soldier

Captain America The Winter Soldier Bucky Unmasked

Captain America's best friend was seemingly lost in battle, but the reveal that Bucky was not only alive but also brainwashed to be the infamous Winter Soldier struck Rogers to his core. The public perception of Bucky has been mixed since his return as no one is quite sure what to make of him.

The Winter Soldier is another huge piece of the puzzle that cannot get left behind and so his battles against Cap and his own journey towards redemption might be a great subplot for the movie to focus on as the two grow together, with Sam Wilson by their side.

The Civil War

Captain America and his team running toward battle in Civil War

The Sokovia Accords and the superhero Civil War divided the world. With Captain America leading the resistance against the government, the public was torn on who to believe. This once heroic figure had somehow been reduced to a criminal seeking a supposed twisted form of justice.

While MCU fans know the truth of the matter, it would be interesting to know how Rogers! The Musical actually portrays Steve's part in the conflict and whether he was right or wrong. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but with parts of the Accords seemingly still in effect, it's difficult to know what the approach to this vital moment may be.

Facing Down Thanos

The Avengers exit the portals

Cap was the last beacon of hope in the fight against Thanos. The veteran really was the last man standing against an army of evil, until he was saved by a returning Sam Wilson, who brought about the portal-based emergence of the rest of The Avengers.

It's an incredible moment and one that the stage adaptation will have to portray if they want to show audiences how the blip was really rectified. With Tony Stark giving his life in sacrifice the scene calls for a moving and somber solo that perhaps recounts Steve's relationship with Iron Man.

The Final Goodbye

Nobody knows what happened to Steve, except some of his closest friends. While fans of the MCU aren't sure where he currently is (with some buying into the rumor he could be on the moon), Steve did begin a new journey by traveling back in time to be with his beloved Peggy Carter.

Older Steve might be MIA but perhaps the musical will provide answers as to what the Captain is up to now, or at the very least show the audience in the theater that he did indeed get his happy ending alongside his past love.
