The Hawkeye streaming series showed that Kate Bishop makes quick friends with almost everybody. Not only did she form a strong bond with Clint Barton, but she also developed an unexpected friendship with Yelena Belova. Yelena is not among Kate Bishop's best friends in Marvel Comics, but Kate is close to many Marvel superheroes, some of whom are in the MCU (or are about to be).

Kate Bishop tends to form friendships with generally everyone she meets, being a very open person. She often gets along great with some of the grumpiest Marvel heroes, including Wolverine. She also forms close connections with characters who may have walls up, including Clint Barton, but also America Chavez, who is among her closest friends in Marvel Comics and likely the MCU in the future.

Wolverine

Kate Bishop teams up with Wolverine and Honey Badger in Marvel Comics.

Kate Bishop works well with anybody and proved that in her partnership with Wolverine. Laura Kinney is sometimes as gruff as Logan is in Marvel Comics, but Kate developed a fun dynamic with her during her Hawkeye solo run, which includes some of the best Hawkeye comics of the 2010s.

Issue #12 in particular teams Kate with Laura and also Honey Badger, and their fun banter is reminiscent of Kate and Yelena from the MCU. Laura matter of factly suggests cutting off her own feet to get free of a trap, and Kate tries not to throw up as she comes up with other ideas.

Jessica Jones

Kate Bishop and Jessica Jones team up in Marvel Comics.

Kate Bishop tends to become friends with characters who ostensibly have rough outer shells. One of the best examples is Jessica Jones. Comic book fans know Jessica Jones is a private detective, but she also serves as a mentor and a counselor in some ways for Kate.

Kate and Jessica share a traumatic past. Both are victims of assault, and despite being very different people, are able to relate to each other in ways that few others can. They have a great shorthand both on the battlefield and just talking over a cup of coffee.

Gwenpool

Kate Bishop and Gwenpool join the West Coast Avengers in Marvel Comics.

Kate Bishop is pretty easy-going, which allows her to be friends with just about anybody. That includes somewhat unpredictable characters like Gwenpool. Kate acts as a stabilizing force in some ways for the funny, sometimes meta Gwenpool.

The two became friends when they joined the new version of the West Coast Avengers in 2018. Gwenpool is pretty easy going, too - including being open to being a hero or villain - but Kate Bishop keeps her on target in their adventures together.

Patriot

Patriot leading fight in Young Avengers comics.

Kate made her debut with the Young Avengers in Marvel Comics and became good friends with Patriot. It's Patriot who gives her first unofficial codename, "Hawkingbird." Their dynamic is characterized by a lot of bickering, which disguises a romantic chemistry that eventually led to them becoming a couple for a brief time.

Kate made her debut with the Young Avengers in Marvel Comics, and it seems the Young Avengers are a team the MCU is building to. It makes sense that Kate will be friends with Patriot in the MCU, who has already debuted in The Falcon And Winter Soldier series.

Miles Morales

Miles Morales tells Kate Bishop he is Spider-Man in Marvel Comics.

Miles Morales is one of Kate Bishop's closest friends in the Ultimate Comics universe of Earth-1610. The two have a romantic attraction and are also very open with each other, which leads both to confess major secrets, like the fact Miles is Spider-Man.

The only problem is Kate has a secret as well. She and her parents are actually undercover HYDRA agents, and Kate exploits Miles' confession to capture him. Though she regrets it, it's a betrayal unique to the Ultimate Comics version of the character.

Fuse

The new West Coast Avengers debut in Marvel Comics.

Kate Bishop and Fuse became friends when she formed the new West Coast Avengers. Johnny Watts has a natural rapport with Kate, despite the fact that he isn't particularly forthcoming. He doesn't explain how he came by his powers, but as usual, Kate doesn't mind.

The two would form a brief romantic relationship during their time on the team, but eventually decided they were better off as friends. That they stay friends is another sign of Kate's easy-going nature, as he really only joined the team because they were dating.

Lucky

Kate Bishop talks to Lucky The Pizza Dog in Marvel Comics.

Lucky the Pizza Dog has been Kate's near-constant companion since she took him in during the 2012 Hawkeye run by writer Matt Fraction and artist David Aja, one of the best Hawkeye comics ever. The two are very loyal to each other and always look out for one another.

Kate is always talking, and so it helps to have someone who mostly listens. But Lucky isn't a passive participant in the relationship, as he proved in Hawkeye #11, where he helped both Kate and Clint Barton defeat the Tracksuit Mafia.

Clint Barton

Hawkeye comic

Clint Barton is many things to Kate Bishop. He's a hero, mentor, and ally. Most importantly, the two have become friends. Few people get through to Clint the way Kate does, but her ability to be open and talkative cut through some of the walls he had put up.

The two became very close during the 2012 Hawkeye comic book run, where they first fought the Tracksuit Mafia, and have remained close since. Despite blow-ups, with the most significant coming during the Civil War II event where Hawkeye killed Bruce Banner, they always come back together.

Kate Bishop and America Chavez hang out in Marvel Comics.

America Chavez is one of Kate Bishop's closest friends in the comics, as many of the best America Chavez comic book stories show. America is another character who outwardly is a little distant, but Kate made a strong bond with her. They are endlessly supportive of the other, and that's true in any universe or timeline.

Kate and America have been shown to be close friends in the vast multiverse of Marvel Comics, including a reality where Kate is royalty and a future timeline where America has taken up the shield of Captain America. The two are likely to be close in the MCU as well.

Cassie Lang

Kate Bishop consoles Cassie Lang in Marvel Comics.

Cassie Lang is arguably the best friend Kate Bishop has in Marvel Comics. The daughter of Scott Lang met Kate while both were part of the Young Avengers. They can tell each other anything, which is vital for Kate. Though Kate can talk to anyone, she isn't always able to open up to everyone.

She and Cassie relate on the most basic level, which is the fact that they are both teenagers. They're likely to be friends in the MCU, and there is a tangential connection already through Clint Barton and Scott Lang that is sure to be explored in the future.
