Marvel’s latest superhero series on Disney+, Hawkeye, has been met with positive reviews from critics. The show has been praised for its visceral action scenes, fun Christmas setting, and compelling character development. But above all, the cast has impressed reviewers with their performances.

Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld share impeccable on-screen chemistry as veteran Avenger Clint Barton and his budding young apprentice Kate Bishop, respectively, while Alaqua Cox, Tony Dalton, and Vera Farmiga have given terrific supporting turns. Between them, these actors have some exciting post-Hawkeye film and TV projects on the horizon.

Jeremy Renner - Spawn Reboot (TBD)

After a decade of playing Earth’s Mightiest Heroes’ resident archer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Jeremy Renner is no stranger to adapting comic books for the screen.

According to Den of Geek, Renner has been attached to play Twitch Williams in the upcoming Spawn reboot since way back in 2018. Jamie Foxx will star as Al Simmons, better known as the titular antihero, alongside Renner. If and when it gets made, the new reboot will mark the directorial debut of Spawn creator Todd McFarlane.

Hailee Steinfeld - Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse (Part One) (October 7, 2022)

Kate Bishop isn’t Hailee Steinfeld’s only Marvel superhero role. She previously won over fans with her voice performance as Gwen Stacy’s Spider-Woman in the hugely acclaimed animated comic book adventure Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

The upcoming Spider-Verse sequel, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, was recently announced to be split into two parts. After the sequel story was nailed down, the producers realized its scale was too big to cover in a single film. The first part will be released next October, while the second part is expected to hit theaters in 2023. The cast and crew have been working on both parts simultaneously.

Alaqua Cox - Echo (TBD)

A spin-off from Hawkeye has been in development since long before the mainline series premiered. Titled Echo, the spin-off will star Alaqua Cox reprising her role as Maya Lopez. Lopez has been introduced as a villain leading the Tracksuit Mafia, but since Ronin murdered her father, she has a sympathetic motivation for wanting Clint dead.

Although it was rumored to be in development way back in March, Echo wasn’t officially announced until November. Marion Dayre, best known as a Better Call Saul writer, will serve as the head writer of the Echo spin-off series.

Florence Pugh - Don’t Worry Darling (September 23, 2022)

First look at Florence Pugh in Don't Worry Darling

Although she has yet to appear, Florence Pugh is confirmed to reprise her MCU role as Yelena Belova in the Hawkeye series. Her storyline will likely follow on from Black Widow’s post-credits scene, in which she was recruited by the Contessa to assassinate Clint.

As one of Hollywood’s most popular rising stars, Pugh has no shortage of upcoming projects. She’s set to star alongside Harry Style in 1950s-set psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling, the sophomore feature of Booksmart director Olivia Wilde. The plot is being kept mostly under wraps, but it’ll revolve around an unhappy housewife and the dark secret her husband is keeping from her.

Tony Dalton - Better Call Saul Season 6 (Early 2022)

Tony Dalton has given a goofy performance as Kate’s soon-to-be stepfather in Hawkeye, but his star-making turn was decidedly more sinister. Dalton rose to prominence as Lalo Salamanca, one of the most terrifying (and charismatic) villains in Better Call Saul.

The season 5 finale was set to get Lalo out of the picture ahead of the sixth and final season, but he surprisingly turned the tables on his would-be killers, and now, he’s heading back to Albuquerque for revenge. This storyline will be paid off in explosive fashion when Better Call Saul returns for its final 13-episode run in early 2022.

Vera Farmiga - Five Days At Memorial (TBD)

Vera Farmiga has given a memorable supporting turn as Kate’s mother in Hawkeye, but she’s set to take center stage in her next TV project, Five Days at Memorial. Based on the 2013 book of the same name by Sheri Fink, Five Days at Memorial will follow the struggles faced by the staff of a New Orleans hospital during Hurricane Katrina.

Set to air on Apple TV+, Five Days at Memorial will be written and directed by American Crime’s John Ridley and Lost’s Carlton Cuse.

Florence Pugh - A Good Person (TBD)

After playing the lead role in Don’t Worry Darling, Pugh is set to star in Zach Braff’s latest directorial effort, A Good Person, alongside Morgan Freeman and Molly Shannon.

The story follows a young woman who survives a fatal accident and later develops an unlikely friendship with the man who would’ve been her father-in-law.

Just as Steinfeld’s previous TV series Dickinson was coming to an end, her next TV series Arcane premiered. Arcane is an animated action-adventure series set in the League of Legends universe, filling in the backstories of various well-known characters.

Following the successful launch of the series, Netflix has greenlit a second season. Season 2 won’t be released until after the end of 2022, but it is coming.
