Netflix's chilling new ghost story The Haunting of Bly Manor features a number of returning cast members from its critically-acclaimed predecessor, The Haunting of Hill House, as well as some new faces. The series was created by Mike Flanagan, who also directed the first episode.

Based on the works of Henry James, in particular The Turn of the Screw and its 1961 film adaptation The Innocents, The Haunting of Bly Manor stars Hill House alum Victoria Pedretti as Dani, a young American woman who is hired as a nanny for two orphaned children. Little Miles and Flora live in a beautiful manor in the English countryside, but they're not alone. As Dani explores her new home and gets to know her young charges, she starts to witness disturbing supernatural events and realizes that two restless spirits are stalking the children.

Amelia Eve as Jamie

At the polar opposite of the personality spectrum to Owen is Jamie, the groundskeeper and gardener at Bly Manor, who has a sharp tongue and prefers to company of plants to people. Nonetheless, she gets on well with Hannah and Owen, and proves to be an unexpected comfort for Dani when the disturbing goings-on at Bly start to get the best of her. Amelia Eve played leading roles in the short films Nicola: A Touching Story and Idéar.

Henry Thomas as Lord Henry Wingrave

Henry Thomas The Haunting of Bly Manor

The brother of Miles and Flora's late father, Lord Henry Wingrave's most important commandment to Dani upon hiring her is that she should take care of the children herself, and not bother him with anything less than one of them requiring an ambulance. Locked away in his law office in London, Lord Henry spends his days burying himself in work and drowning his sorrows. Henry Thomas played the younger version of Hugh Crain in The Haunting of Hill House. His big break in acting was as Elliott in Steven Spielberg's E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, and more recently he has appeared in Mike Flanagan's horror films Gerald's Game, Doctor Sleep and Ouija: Origin of Evil.

Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Miles Wingrave

The Haunting of Bly Manor Miles

10 year-old Miles is back at Bly Manor after being expelled from boarding school. In trying to protect his little sister and others in the house from sinister influences, Miles is missing out on the carefree childhood he should be having - and something else is making him act much older than his age. Benjamin Evan Ainsworth previously appeared in the short film The Recycling Man, and will star alongside Alyson Hannigan and Danny Pudi in the upcoming Disney+ film Flora and Ulysses.

Amelie Bea Smith as Flora Wingrave

Eight year-old Flora, like her brother, has a greater awareness of what's really going on at Bly than the adults in the house. Sweet-natured and sensitive, Flora uses "story time" performances and the dollhouse in her bedroom as creative outlets for the feelings she can't express out loud - though there may be more to the dollhouse than meets the eye. Amelie Bea Smith recently took over as the voice of children's cartoon character Peppa Pig, and also guest-starred in the long-running British soap opera Eastenders.

The former valet of Lord Henry Wingrave, Peter Quint is currently missing after stealing a considerable amount of money from his boss. With a murky past, a hot temper and a taste for luxury, Peter had an abrasive relationship with some members of the Bly Manor household. He became an important male role model for young Miles after the death of Dominic Wingrave, but wasn't exactly a good influence. Oliver Jackson-Cohen played Luke Crain in The Haunting of Hill House, and also played the titular "invisible man," Adrian Griffin, in 2020 horror movie The Invisible Man.

Tahirah Sharif as Rebecca Jessel
