The Wizarding World has been enchanting its fans for years since the publication of the first book and the release of the first film. Yet, there are still many aspects of the magical world that fans don't know or know only to some extent (not taking into account everything J.K. Rowling has revealed).

This prompts both fans and casual readers alike to speculate about certain aspects of the world of Harry Potter. For example, could Rowling be taking inspiration from the zodiac signs to define her Hogwarts houses? And if she has, then how would Aquarius signs fit into Gryffindor?

Aquariuses are quite often considered cold or even somewhat egoistical, but beneath that strange surface, there is actually a very dedicated and selfless person who is very loyal to their friends and can empathize with people quite well.

Gryffindors, on the other hand, have often been called arrogant, especially by their long-time rivals - Slytherins. Perhaps this arrogance stems in part from the feeling of self-righteousness Gryffindors usually possess.

Gryffindors: They Can Engage In "Pointless Heroics"

Because of their selfless nature, Aquariuses can sometimes engage in the so-called "pointless heroics". In addition to that, they are often cited as loving humanity.

Gryffindors are also known for being the heroes that everyone praises and often engaging in "pointless heroics" just because of their nature or personality.

Not Gryffindors: They Are Not Short-Tempered

Aquariuses usually have a lot of patience. It is incredible how long they can ignore something or someone, and they are generally very accepting people, so they are often patient even with those they dislike or hate.

Gryffindors, however, are notorious for their short tempers. They can get angry quickly and usually react to provocations strongly, which is usually how they get into fights with Slytherins.

Gryffindors: They Are Self-Righteous

As mentioned earlier, Aquariuses have a profound feeling of self-righteousness. They believe in their ideals and try to act according to them, even if it goes against societal norms.

Gryffindors are also quite self-righteous individuals. They often get into trouble or even danger just because they decided to act based on what they believe in.

Not Gryffindors: They Are Not Reckless

Though Aquariuses are usually seen doing what they want rather than what they are told to do, they rarely act rashly. After all, life is too interesting to be risking it.

Gryffindors, however, can be quite reckless sometimes. Because of this recklessness, those around them may suffer from their actions even more than they themselves do.

Gryffindors: They Don't Follow The Rules

Speaking of rules, as mentioned above, Aquariuses don't like doing what they are told to do and will often continue acting in a way they believe is correct.

Unsurprisingly, Gryffindors are also known for such behavior. Harry, Hermione, and Ron have been regularly found breaking all kinds of rules, which often led to their house losing (or occasionally gaining) points.

Not Gryffindors: They Are Not Chivalrous

Aquariuses are unique people, which is why they become well-known artists and creators. But when it comes to being the hero that saves the day, they don't always step up for the cause.

The house of Gryffindor, on the other hand, is known for being quite chivalrous. Wizards and witches from this house have been some of the brightest in the Wizarding World, largely thanks to their brave actions.

Gryffindors: They Have The Nerve

But where there are bravery and chivalry, there is also the nerve. Aquarians may not be the most dauntless people in the world, but they rarely back away from difficulties and love taking on challenges, especially when it goes against societal norms.

Gryffindors also have the so-called nerve. Sirius Black, for instance, had gone against his entire family and generations before him by choosing Gryffindor over Slytherin and refusing to follow his family's traditions.

Not Gryffindors: They Are Not Daring

Though Aquariuses love breaking the rules and going against societal norms because it's pretty much in their blood, they aren't actually daring in the sense of being brave like Gryffindors. They are quite outgoing and can do spontaneous things, but they still love planning and preparation, which is why they don't take uncalculated risks.

Gryffindors, on the other hand, are probably the most daring of all the four houses. Slytherins come very close because they are known for doing something considered impossible by others if it serves their goals, but they are still not quite as daring as Gryffindors are.

Gryffindors: They Are Determined

Aquarians are some of the most determined people anyone will ever meet. They are obsessed with figuring out who they are and trying to understand themselves, but they are also unafraid of trying new things. This somewhat chaotic approach, nonetheless, doesn't prevent them from making short-term and long-term plans - and working towards achieving them.

Gryffindors are also surprisingly determined individuals. Much like with being daring, they are similar in this way to Slytherins, but the determination possessed by Gryffindors is quite unparalleled, making them the perfect fit for the sign of Aquarius.
