Tom Felton shares his emotional and touching reaction to watching Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone for the first time in several years. Back in 2001, Harry Potter was still a budding franchise, and Felton was a child actor. Warner Bros. and director Chris Columbus first brought J.K. Rowling's successful book series to the big screen with The Sorcerer's Stone, which was received warmly by fans and critics and became a hit at the box office. Though Columbus only returned for one more Harry Potter movie, Warner Bros. went on to adapt all seven of Rowling's novels, thus creating one of the biggest film franchises of all time.

Felton played Draco Malfoy in all eight Harry Potter movies, making him one of the handful of actors to appear in every installment. As the snobbish bully, Felton earned much praise from fans, and to this day it remains the role he is best known for. Much to the delight of audiences everywhere, Felton has kept the Harry Potter spirit alive in several ways. From poking fun at his former co-stars in character as Malfoy to working on a Harry Potter reunion, Felton is quite possibly one of the biggest fans of the franchise.

Felton further thrilled fans this past weekend when he rewatched a portion of The Sorcerer's Stone on an Instagram Live. Before starting, Felton declared he hadn't watched the movie in about twenty years, which only made his reactions more precious. As The Sorcerer's Stone title popped up and John Williams' score soared, Felton could hardly contain his excitement and at one point had to tell himself to "keep it together." Scroll on to catch a glimpse of Felton's happy responses to the opening of The Sorcerer's Stone.

Audiences everywhere got to watch Felton grow up alongside the Harry Potter movies, and it's incredibly sweet to see him return to where it all began with genuine eagerness. Next year will mark the twentieth anniversary of The Sorcerer's Stone and thus the entire Harry Potter film franchise, so expect more celebrations like this to emerge in the coming months. Felton himself has already indicated he'd like to do something like this again, so fans should keep an eye out for more live streams from the former Malfoy.

Currently, the world of Harry Potter lives on in the Fantastic Beasts prequel series, but nothing can quite compare to the original tale of the Boy Who Lived. Even now, nineteen years later, The Sorcerer's Stone still resonates with audiences, which is a testament to how Columbus and the others adapted the magical universe. Hopefully Felton won't lose his enthusiasm for activities like this, because it's safe to say fans are enjoying them quite a lot.
