Throughout the series, however, his strict rules and interrogations of these three students actually ended up being some of the funniest moments in the entire series. Keep reading for these ten memes that prove Snape was a comedic genius.

This Iconic Moment

All fans of Harry Potter remember this hilarious moment from the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire film. This moment is one that fans remember as the funniest in the entire series. Harry and Ron, during potions class, kept talking. Snape, kept reminding them to stop, and eventually took matters into his own hands, literally. This meme shows the moment Snape got tired of Harry and Ron disobeying his orders, and he literally shoved their heads down to get them to stop. This action caught Harry and Ron off guard and was actually so funny.

His Clothing Choices

One of the most memorable traits that Severus Snape held, was his repetition of clothing. This character, which many fans found to be amusing, was so easily recognizable. Severus had a dark and moody personality, which he funnily represented in his clothing choices. The standard black dress robes and dark long hair proved how far this character was willing to go to make himself seem as unapproachable as possible. Fans can definitely find this effort to be laughable, as well as respectable. Snape's efforts here are too funny, and devoted fans will agree!

Constantly Calling Harry's Bluff

One of Professor Snape's funniest characteristics in the movies was his ability to always call Harry Potter's bluff. Snape, although it was sometimes unnecessary, was always questioning Harry, and his intuition was always right when Harry was lying or trying to get out of something. The funniest part about Snape's constant questioning of Harry was the fact that he always gave him such a hard time. His interrogations often lead to Harry fumbling to come up with an excuse, which more times than not, led to ridiculous statements like this meme shows in a scene from the books. Snape loved pushing Harry to this point and fans can agree it was usually hilarious.

His Harshness Towards Gryffindor

Severus Snape was definitely not one to shy away from a biased opinion. Snape, obviously had negative feelings towards the Gryffindor house and was not worried about hiding his dislike for the house.

Although it wasn't always ethical, it was definitely funny how often Snape would find a way to make a problem blamed on Gryffindor's house, like the time he canceled their quidditch practice without any notice, or how often he insisted on taking away their house points. Although it might not have been fair, it was definitely entertaining!

One time that all devoted fans will always remember, is this scene from the third film, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. This scene became iconic amongst fans and proved, once again, that Professor Snape had a comedic side to him that came out in hilarious ways. This scene, where he insists students turn a specific page during his potions class, proved that Snape has no patience for disobedience, and was often willing to go the extra mile to prove a point. The personality trait here is definitely a dramatic one but is hilarious nonetheless.

Hates These Kids

One of the funniest parts of Severus's personality is his hatred for Harry and his two best friends, Ron and Hermione. Although these three students annoy him to no end, he still protects them, which is incredibly sweet. However, the funny part is that he never lets them forget it. This character seems to enjoy reminding them of the times that he's proven himself to help them, and gets satisfaction out of their confused reactions when he does protect them and goes to great lengths to do so. All fans will appreciate the accurate hilarity of this meme!

His Comedic Timing

One of Snape's funniest scenes was from the fifth movie, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. During this scene, Harry tries giving a secret to Professor Snape in front of Professor Umbridge. Harry, worried that Lord Voldemort is holding his godfather, Sirius Black hostage, and potentially harming him, tries telling Snape this.

When Umbridge asks Snape what Harry is talking about, Snape convincingly tells Professor Umbridge he had no idea. His comment was so convincing that Harry himself was almost worried that Snape was betraying him. Snape gave Harry no reassurance in any way, and although it was petty, fans can't deny this moment was laughable.

His Sarcasm

Severus Snape is known for many things, but one of his funniest qualities has got to be his use of sarcasm throughout the series. Severus Snape used methods of sarcasm in every single book, and his deadpan humor is only one of the reasons fans love this character so much. During a scene in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, his use of sarcasm becomes one of his most iconic lines. When Professor Umbridge interviews him about his job as Potions professor, she calls him out on the fact that he didn't get the position he initially wanted as Defense Against The Dark Arts professor. His response, "obviously" has become legendary for this movie and explains this professor perfectly.

His Demeanor

Severus Snape was famously known for his demeanor, which was serious and quite intimidating. Although he never held back from using his demeanor as a scare tactic, it was funniest when he used it to intimidate characters that fans didn't like, especially when it was used to intimidate one of Harry Potter's most hated characters, Peter Pettigrew. In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, Severus funnily tells Peter Pettigrew, also known as Wormtail, to leave him alone. His authority in this scene and the way he treats Peter is something that all fans found satisfying and funny.

Wanted To Arrive With A Bang

It's no question that Professor Snape's funniest moments were with Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. There were many moments in the Harry Potter series that Severus Snape tortured Harry and Ron, often calling them out on their stupidity or the ridiculous trouble they had found themselves in. Snape had no patience for their behavior and had no problem giving them a hard time when it came to getting reprimanded. This moment in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets shows one of the funny lines that Snape said in pointing out one of Ron and Harry's mistakes. These moments were seriously hilarious.
