When it comes to the Unforgivable Curses, a person has to have the emotion and feeling behind the curse to get it to work. This is why Harry isn’t able to use the Unforgivable Curses on Bellatrix in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
However, he is later able to use the Imperius Curse at Gringotts. While this means Harry does have some ability to use Unforgivable Curses, given his personality, it seems unlikely that he would find the anger and hatred within him to perform Avada Kedavra.
Can Harry Potter Do Wandless Magic?
Wandless magic is something that some wizards and witches in the wizarding world can use but that others cannot. Some extremely skilled magic users such as Dumbledore can use more wandless magic than most other people.
Harry is able to do wandless magic, but this is mostly in highly charged situations such as when he was being chased by Death Eaters after leaving Privet Drive in Deathly Hallows. Harry Potter is no longer able to speak Parseltongue. This is because the ability to do so came from the part of Voldemort’s soul that had made Harry into a living Horcrux. After Voldemort was killed and Harry was also briefly killed, the Horcrux, or piece of Voldemort’s soul, inside of Harry was destroyed.
This meant that Harry no longer had the ability to speak Parseltongue. But, strangely, in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, he was able to speak Parseltongue when he used a time turner to go back in time.
