Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, and fans still can't get enough of Hogwarts' stories and secrets. J.K Rowling created one of the most fascinating fantasy worlds to ever exist, but most importantly, she gave life to many endearing characters of fiction.

Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger are the audience's all-time favorites, but none of them would have become the iconic wizards known today if it wasn't for Albus Dumbledore. Dumbledore has many memorable qualities and traits, and luckily, they can all be summed up in hilarious memes.

Hogwarts Headmaster

He was the headmaster of Hogwarts, and for many, he was the best one of all time. He spent almost his entire life at Hogwarts as a student, professor, and eventually of course, as headmaster. However, some aspects of his youth had not been revealed until Fantastic Beasts

In Fantastic Beasts, Dumbledore is portrayed as much younger-looking than in the Harry Potter films which led many to question what happened to him. However, most teachers can completely understand his quick aging, given that being a professor of a bunch of misbehaving students (worse yet, wizards) completely sucks the life out of anyone.

Hired Teachers

Even though he is one of the best Harry Potter characters, he usually wasn't the best at hiring stable and trustworthy teachers. Nobody knows through what kind of evaluation Dumbledore put teachers through to get hired if they were any at all, but his method was faulty and had significant slip-throughs.

Gilderoy Lockhart, Horace Slughorn, and Quirinus Quirell are some of the many examples that prove Dumbledore's lack of judgment, however other splendid professors were chosen by Albus and that should not be overshadowed by their terrible co-workers.

Gave Out Points

Dumbledore had the weirdest calculations when it came to giving out points to Hogwarts' Houses, especially, when giving points to Gryffindor. It's unknown what kind of math he used to validate his scores, but he always found a way to give points to anyone that wasn't a Slytherin.

Sometimes, it seemed that Albus Dumbledore would only let Slytherin win the House Cup over his dead body, so even though he is one of the saddest death in children's movies, it is funny to imagine him falling to his death and still giving 50 more points to Gryffindor.

Talked Calmy

One of the things The Goblet Of Fire leaves out is Dumbledore's natural calm and serene attitude toward almost everything. In the book, as the meme proves, he asked Harry Potter calmly if he put his name in the Goblet of Fire, but in the movie, he yells at Harry infuriated.

Dumbledore is famous for saying everything calmly and fans of the book always make fun of how he constantly speaks that way. It is probable it wasn't appealing and dramatic enough for the big screen and the producers decided to change it for entertainment purposes.

Favoritism

It was more than clear that Dumbledore, within his wisdom, preferred Harry to all students, and Gryffindor to all the Houses. It is particularly clear in the first movie of the franchise when Dumbledore decides to give out points to Potter, Weasley, Granger, and Neville just to take the House Cup from Slytherin.

Given that Draco Malfoy has been despicable since a very tender age, it is understandable that Dumbledore doesn't give him any credit. He was always being mean to other students, breaking the rules, following his father's steps, and eventually joined Voldemort's side, among other things, which did not make him worthy of points.

Questionable Decisions

Among his questionable decisions as headmaster, there are many times he refused to close the school when students were severely endangered. In those moments, he used his power and authority to keep Hogwarts open, ignoring rationality or any other recommendation.

Although, in truth, it is understandable that the wizarding world is full of constant threats, and that if safety was the maximum priority in Hogwarts, it would not open at all. It's hard to make this decision, but Albus seemed to always prioritize knowledge and reason. There is a dangerous world out there, and how were students supposed to defend themselves from the threats in Hogwarts if they didn't learn how to do it there.

Favoured Harry Potter

Despite everything, Dumbledore had special care for Harry and would go out of his way to help him however he could. He proved this when his uncle Vernon kept destroying the letters he got from Hogwarts and decided to send hundreds of them to their house.

Although his invitation to Hogwarts and Albus' insistence on Harry becoming a skillful wizard were not entirely out of kindness, Dumbledore did make Harry happy in many ways, and nobody can forget Potter's smile when all the letters came into his house and drove his family mad.

He Knew Harry Was A Horcrux

To everyone's surprise, Albus knew all along that Harry was Voldemort's accidental Horcrux and that he had to be killed eventually, which for many, proved that Dumbledore was a villain. Nobody said it better than Snape, who pointed out to Albus how he had raised Harry as an animal for slaughter.

After taking Snape's tears, Harry puts them in the Pensieve and gets to hear Snape's clever observation. Therefore it is not difficult to imagine Harry asking the same thing to Dumbledore while he makes a mean joke about it.

Wanted To Defeat Voldemort

Lord Voldemort was a threat to everyone and had to be defeated one way or another. For Dumbledore, the sacrifice of Potter was something that had to happen, and as he expressed when he talked to Snape, Harry had to die when the time was right, not sooner.

That is why it is hilarious to imagine Dumbledore as Mickey Mouse delivering one of his most iconic quotes in Mickey Mouse Funhouse and admitting that Harry is no more than a tool that they will use later to finally kill the Dark Lord.

He Knew Tom Riddle

Albus Dumbledore was the one that invited Tom Riddle to Hogwarts, but unlike all the professors and students that admired his talent and cleverness, he always suspected something about Riddle was off. Having witnessed Voldemort's transformation from a student to a dark lord gave him a better appreciation of who he was, and therefore, he was never afraid to call him by his real name.

While everyone else trembled in fear by hearing his name, and others referred to him as a lord out of respect, Albus constantly called him Tom, as if he was still the student he took under his wing, which honestly, as the glasses put on him in the meme suggest, made him a boss.
