Read on the find out!

HERMIONE IS THE BRIGHTEST WITCH OF HER AGE- RAVENCLAW

So this one is pretty obvious, but it's definitely significant as to why Hermione would be excellent in the house of Ravenclaw. Rowena Ravenclaw, the founder of the house, favors education and intelligence above all else, and Hermione has been considered to be "the brightest witch of her age". It seems only fitting that she would be placed in the house of Ravenclaw instead of Gryffindor because she is just so brilliant and all-knowing.

SHE IS NEVER AFRAID TO SPEAK HER MIND - GRYFFINDOR

Hermione is often considered to be a "know it all" not only by Harry and Ron (especially Ron) but also by her professors. Remember when Snape straight-up said right to this thirteen-year-old girl's face, "Do you take pride in being an insufferable know-it-all?". That's just unacceptable.

Although it seems as though everyone at school would prefer that Hermione tone it down a notch, Hermione will never succumb to what others think is best. She will speak her mind and fight for her beliefs because she is a pure badass Gryffindor. Godrick would be proud.

HERMIONE IS EXTREMELY WISE - RAVENCLAW

Hermione Granger Deathly Hallows

It's one thing to get an A+ score on a charms test, and it's another thing to be filled with endless wisdom. Sometimes wisdom is more powerful than intelligence, as is evident with Albus Dumbledore. Luckily for Hermione, she seems to be just as wise as she is brilliant. This is especially evident in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone when she says to Harry: "Me, books and cleverness- There are far more important things like friendship and bravery." This is a quote that proves this girl is wise beyond her years.  10 points to Gryffindor!

SHE HAS THE COURAGE TO BE HER TRUE AUTHENTIC SELF - GRYFFINDOR

Many people have expectations as to what a young girl should be like, and Hermione refuses to fit into that mold that society has constructed for her. While a lot of the people at Hogwarts would prefer for Hermione to be quiet and proper, this witch would rather die than pretend to be somebody she's not. So what if people don't like it? That's their problem.

She will never dumb herself down or act in a more timid manner in order to please her peers. This takes serious bravery, especially as a teenager which is a period in life when we often just want to fit in over anything else.

SHE IS INCREDIBLY MATURE FOR HER AGE - RAVENCLAW

If we were to pick the most mature Hogwarts house, most of us would choose Ravenclaw in a heartbeat. This house is filled with maturity and patience that houses like Gryffindor and Slytherin just don't seem to possess.

Although Hermione can sometimes come across as rather bossy, she is only trying to push her friends into becoming better versions of themselves. She is wildly intelligent, especially for her young age, and sometimes it's hard to believe that a person that young can manage to be so grown up and mature.

SHE PROVES THERE ARE MULTIPLE FORMS OF BRAVERY - GRYFFINDOR

When we think of someone who is brave and courageous, our mind often goes to someone who is willing to defeat Lord Voldemort with the flick of their wand. We think of someone who can slay the basilisk despite their lack of skillset. We think of an individual who is willing to go face to face with a dementor. Yet Hermione is able to prove that there are multiple forms of bravery. Sometimes bravery just means you are unafraid to show the world who you really are and you have no problem sticking up for yourself along with what you believe is right.

SHE IS CONSTANTLY TRYING TO LEARN MORE - RAVENCLAW

Interestingly enough, in order to get into the Ravenclaw Commonroom, you must first answer a riddle. This seems extremely time-consuming to the vast majority of us, but for someone like Hermione, this would just be an awesome bonus. In order to solve these riddles, one must be extremely wise, and Hermione certainly carries a lot of wisdom. The Ravenclaws have this riddle-solving device as their common room "password" because it keeps them constantly thinking. The house of Ravenclaw cherishes education and this is just one of the many reasons she would fit in so perfectly in Rowena Ravenclaw's house.

SHE IS A PERSON WHO TAKES ACTION AND SPEAKS UP - GRYFFINDOR

Hermione has never been shy when it comes to expressing her beliefs and she will announce her values to the entire world without an ounce of fear as to how others will see her. To Hermione, taking action is necessary in order to make a change and her take-charge mentality is very common in Gryffindors. One of the clearest examples of this is when Hermione creates an organization at the young age of fourteen, called S.P.E.W: Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare. When most of us were fourteen, the cause that we were most actively passionate about was finally getting our braces taken off! Her activism is a clear sign of a true Gryffindor.

SHE IS ALWAYS READING BOOKS - RAVENCLAW

Ron, Hermione and Harry in the Hogwarts library

One of the many traits of Ravenclaws is that they absolutely love to read. You can always spot a Ravenclaw when you see someone with their nose stuck in a book and this is because Ravenclaws are always trying to stimulate their minds. If a Ravenclaw were to have a choice between going to a party or reading a good book, they would probably choose a night snuggled under the blanket while lost in a novel as opposed to dancing their butt off. This isn't to say that Ravenclaws don't enjoy having a good time, but above all else, they are stimulated by knowledge and creativity. Hermione is constantly reading books and she spends a lot of her time in the library - even in the restricted section.

SHE CHOSE TO BE IN GRYFFINDOR

And finally, the fact that she wanted to be in the house of Gryffindor the most proves that she is meant to be a Gryffindor rather than a Ravenclaw. At the end of the day, the students at Hogwarts always tend to end up in the house that they feel they are best suited for. While most people would think Hermione should've been in Ravenclaw, nobody knows Hermione as well as Ms. Granger herself, and if she thinks the "house of the brave" is the best suited for her, then we can't help but agree. She is the brightest witch of her age, after all.
