While I think all the films have been good, for some reason I just can't seem to really get into them. No doubt because I'm not a fan of the books - I read the first one after friends of mine raved about it. I read it and it felt like it was at the level of a Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys book. I guess I just don't understand how adults can get so fired up about books written for a fifth grade reading level. I'm more of a Tom Clancy guy, but what do I know - I still read comic books.
I don't know anything about the story for Harry Potter 6, but based on the trailer it looks like it's the Harry Potter version of the Star Wars prequels, showing how ultimate baddie Voldemort came to be. The trailer features him as a young boy with Dumbledore apparently aware of his potential.
I just couldn't shake the Obi-Wan/Anakin thing out of my head. Don't know if the film will actually turn out to be something else.
You can see higher res versions of the trailer here.
Seems to me that as these films get progressively more creepy that by the time they get to the last one the bloody thing will have to be rated R!
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince opens on November 21st.
Thanks to Atomic Popcorn for the heads up.
