There are some amazing friendships within the Harry Potter franchise, and one unique type of them is "the bromance." Along the way, certain characters became a lot closer than others, sticking together no matter what and forming deep bonds that tie them together for life.
This type of male friendship really appeals to many readers and viewers alike and creates some fan-favorite relationships. Here are some of the best bromances Harry Potter has to offer.
Professor Albus Dumbledore & Hagrid
While they're not constantly by each other's sides as other bromances are in this series, Professor Albus Dumbledore and Hagrid are certainly close friends. The two men have a huge amount of respect for each other, and that is something that they both talk about plenty of times within the movies.
Hagrid makes it clear on countless occasions how much cares for Dumbledore, and the fact that the Hogwarts Headteacher always gives Hagrid important tasks shows the respect he has for him. It's just a shame that they're not shown together as much.
Lord Voldemort & Peter Pettigrew
Even Lord Voldemort can have a bromance. While he might not be going around hugging and making jokes like other friends in the franchise, for a time, Peter Pettigrew is clearly Voldemort's right-hand man.
While Peter grows up being close with Sirus Black, Remus Lupin, and James Potter, he betrays them all to help Voldemort. He even loses his own hand to bring him back, and their connection is clear to see, though it might not be quite reciprocal.
Harry Potter & Dobby
These two characters get along really well, with Dobby being protective of Harry, appearing at various points to try and help him. Though they start off a bit rockily, in the movies, and especially the books, their relationships really evolves.
They have a genuine and kind bond and it's one that is truly wholesome. Everyone can get invested in their friendship, which is what makes it so great, and even though they're not always together, whenever they are, the scenes are fun to watch.
Sirius Black & Remus Lupin
Sirius Black often keeps himself to himself after he escapes Azkaban, normally standing in the background as he oversees everything. However, one man that he is always close with is Remus Lupin, with the two of them having a tremendous friendship together.
Their friendship dates all the way back to when they were at school themselves, and they just pick off where they left off when they finally get to see each other again. They're close and they work hard to help each other get through tough times.
Harry Potter & Hagrid
Harry Potter and Hagrid build an amazing friendship together over the years. Hagrid is the first person from the Wizarding World that Harry encounters, and from that point on they don't look back, always spending time together.
Harry can often be found in Hagrid's hut, and while Hagrid sometimes spills a few too many secrets that end up leading Harry into danger, they're always there for each other. Hagrid's reaction when he thinks that Harry has died is a clear sign as to how close they are.
Vincent Crabbe & Gregory Goyle
They might have often been getting up to no good throughout the franchise, but Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle were great friends and, truly, an insperable pair.
They were always together in the movies, and though fans didn't really get to know their relationship too in-depthly, it must be said they were loyal to Malfoy during the early school years and probably to one another as well.
Dean Thomas & Seamus Finnigan
Two of the more underrated Gryffindor characters, Dean Thomas and Seamus Finnigan are fantastic friends. Right from the start, the two characters seem to spend all of their time together, and while they're not always given tons of time to showcase their friendship as other characters are, they are clearly very close.
They always look out for each other, even when Seamus is blowing everything up in sight. Every time they're shown together the two of them just appear to be having as much fun as possible, and that's the sign of a great friendship.
Sirius Black & James Potter
This is a friendship that is only showcased in flashbacks, or other by people talking about the past. However, it's clear that James Potter and Sirius Black were incredibly close friends. The two of them often got into trouble together at school, being cheeky and causing mischief.
However, the two men also loved each other like brothers and truly did everything in their power to help one another. The way Sirius talks about James showcases how much love was there between them, which is why they have one of the best bromances in the movies.
George Weasley & Fred Weasley
These two characters are literally brothers, twin brothers in fact. However, just because they're twins that doesn't guarantee that they will be friends. However, they have similar personalities and they end up being great partners in crime, spending all of their time together within the movies.
They're always up to no good, looking to cause as much chaos as possible within Hogwarts. They like to troll others, play pranks, and create jokes and putting them together makes them a lot of fun to watch, as they often act as one person because they bounce off each other so well.
Ron Weasley & Harry Potter
There's no doubt that the greatest bromance within the Harry Potter franchise is between Harry and Ron. The two characters first meet on the Platform 9 3/4, as Harry needs some guidance on how to run through the wall, and from that point onwards they never look back.
They spend all of their time with each other, constantly cracking jokes and cheering each other up. Harry practically becomes a true brother to Ron with their bond, and while they do have a couple of squabbles, that is only to be expected within best friends. They're as close as friends can get, and that's what makes them the best bromance within the movies.
