The beginning of the last chapter in the blockbuster fantasy series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, will arrive in theaters in just under five weeks.

Warner Bros. has released nine – count ’em, nine – TV promos for the seventh Harry Potter movie to go along with the most recent collection of character posters. If that’s not enough to tide HP fans (Pottheads?) until this Thanksgiving, well, they can always just go read the books again.

Both the first Deathly Hallows trailer and the more recent theatrical preview focus on the dark nature of the film, which finds Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint), and Hermione (Emma Watson) on the run in the countryside as He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named (Ralph Fiennes) and his forces take over the Ministry of Magic. The heroic trio must undertake their most dangerous quest yet as they set out to find and destroy the Horcruxes, which hold the key to the Dark Lord’s immortality.

Deathly Hallows: Part 1 will certainly have its share of fast-paced action sequences, explosive set pieces, and stylish visual FX, but it is still a movie about young people who are forced to grow up too quickly as a war breaks out around them. The other Harry Potter films threw humor, romance, and general teenage awkwardness into the mix as well and – as some of the new TV promos demonstrate – Deathly Hallows looks to be no exception.

Check out the new TV promos for Deathly Hallows: Part 1 below:

Potter fans should be pleased with the fact that Deathly Hallows will be covered over the course of two movies – which means twice the screen time to cover all of the original book’s subplots while fitting in a whole horde of supporting characters that might’ve been left out otherwise. Part 1 won’t be in 3D after all, but, based off the footage released from the film so far, it looks as though moviegoers will still get their money’s worth.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 arrives in regular and IMAX theaters in the U.S. on November 19th, 2010. Part 2 will arrive in 2D and 3D on July 15th, 2011.
