First 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' Teaser Poster is on Fire

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows trailer

Warner Bros. has released the first official teaser poster for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the two-part conclusion to the blockbuster based off an extremely popular book series - the one that doesn't include pouty looking blood-suckers, I should say.

In addition to the teaser poster, there's also a new, condensed version of the official Deathly Hallows trailer for you to check out.  It doesn't offer much in the way of new footage, but it's a good excuse to get excited for a return trip to Hogwarts.

The seventh and final entry in the Harry Potter series revolves around the efforts of young Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint), and Hermione (Emma Watson) as they attempt to find and destroy the remaining horcruxes, so as to make the Dark Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) mortal once more.

Meanwhile, He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named-Even-Though-I-Just-Did and his Death Eaters overthrow the Ministry of Magic and launch a full-scale war against those in the wizarding world that oppose them.

The first poster for Deathly Hallows offers a glimpse at the devastation inflicted upon the beloved Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the final two films.  The sight of the shattered castle engorged in flames and surrounded by billowing clouds of black smoke is a deliciously dark, haunting image that hints at the epic final battle between good and evil.

Warner Bros. has also released a new trailer for Deathly Hallows alongside their LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 (Collector's Edition) video game.  With the exception of a few new swooping landscape shots of our favorite trio traveling in the countryside, the trailer is virtually the same as the first Deathly Hallows teaser.

You can have a look at the abbreviated trailer below:
