12 Short Action-Packed 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' Clips

Twelve clips from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1

Looking for a quick way to get your blood pumping this morning? We've got just the thing you need: twelve action-packed clips from Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows: Part 1.

Warner Bros. redesigned their official site for the penultimate Harry Potter movie and revealed a dozen new short scenes from the film. Each clip is approximately five seconds in length and have been assembled together in a single video, courtesy of one of the boy wizard's devoted fans.

Deathly Hallows: Part 1 won't be in 3D, though there are numerous shots on display in this new footage that were clearly designed with the third dimension in mind. Warner Bros. has plans to convert Harry Potter 5 & 6 to Blu-ray 3D and there have been rumblings about the studio re-releasing the seventh Harry Potter flick in 3D for a brief run in theaters just before Deathly Hallows: Part 2 hits next summer.

Both halves of the boy wizard's final cinematic venture were shot with regular, not 3D, cameras, so moviegoers everywhere have reason to be less than excited about the proposition of paying extra cash to see Harry, Ron, Hermione, and the rest of the cast fly off the screen.

These twelve new (short) clips from Deathly Hallows: Part 1 are quite exciting in good ol' 2D and indicate that the film will be the darkest, most intense Harry Potter adventure yet - at least, until Part 2 arrives next year. The sound editing is quite impressive too and makes this early footage a treat for both the eyes and ears.

David Yates -who also helmed the fifth and sixth Harry Potter movies - seems to have really figured out how to shoot fast-paced action sequences in a manner that is both engaging and comprehensible (some of the action in his first Potter outing, Order of the Phoenix, was a bit messy). Deathly Hallows is shaping up to be a grand finale that doesn't disappoint the legions of Potter fans out there.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 arrives in regular and IMAX theaters around the U.S. on November 19th, 2010. Part 2 will be released in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D on July 15th, 2011.
