Marietta Edgecombe in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Not all that much is known about Marietta Edgecombe as she wasn’t that big of a character in the series. She is mostly known for being the one to rat out Dumbledore’s Army to Umbridge. This act in and of itself doesn’t make her seem like a person with the most common sense. Since not much else is known about her, it’s safe to say she wasn’t the most exemplary student from Ravenclaw, even though there’s nothing that indicates she was incapable either.

Sybill Trelawney is a complicated character. While she does have times when she is clearly a true seer, and she has a few prophecies that did come true, she is also a bit of a fraud.

Her real prophecies she doesn’t even remember, so in her day to day fortune-telling, she is usually making things up. While she isn’t necessarily an uneducated character, she isn’t a great teacher and most of what she says is just making things up.

Terry Boot is a Ravenclaw student who went to school with Harry Potter. He is mentioned in passing many times throughout the series. He was a member of Dumbledore’s Army and was clearly invested in learning and trying to fight Voldemort.

According to Pottermore, he is also good and potions and charms. This makes it seem like he is a solid student with overall good grades, even though the series doesn’t feature him that much.

Padma and Parvati Patil

Padma Patil is the twin sister of Parvati Patil. While Padma is in Ravenclaw, Parvati is a Gryffindor. Padma’s biggest moments in the series where when she went to the Yule Ball with Ron. While not much is known about her life after Hogwarts, she always seemed like a solid student. She was also smart enough to not be very impressed with how poorly Ron treated her on her date, so she at least has that good common sense. She was also a member of Dumbledore’s Army.

Chris Rankin as Percy Weasley in Harry Potter

Penelope Clearwater was a Ravenclaw student in the same year as Percy Weasley. The two dated for a couple of years, and there isn’t much information about how they broke up. The two didn’t marry, however. While she isn’t a big character in the book, she was a prefect. This means she likely had great grades in order to stand out as a Ravenclaw student. Percy is also likely to only date someone who had good grades and was invested, as a student.

Michael Corner was another Ravenclaw student who joined Dumbledore’s Army during Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. According to Pottermore, he also is skilled in potions. The fact Pottermore notes this means he likely got good grades at least in this class. Corner also briefly dated Ginny Weasley, which is his biggest claim to fame. Ginny is a sharp person, so she likely only dated someone who had decent grades.

Cho Chang is one of the most talked-about Ravenclaws that Harry goes to school with. While Cho might not get her due in the books, she is clearly a good student. She was a member of Dumbledore’s Army. Plus, she was also a seeker for the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. While this doesn’t have anything to do with her grades, it does show that she was a well-rounded student. Cho always seemed like a good student and smart person, and she definitely deserved to be treated better than Harry treated her.

Luna Lovegood Reading the Quibbler from Harry Potter

Luna Lovegood is definitely an intelligent person, even though she might not seem like that in a traditional sense. Luna’s upbringing led her to be someone who believes in a lot of things that clearly aren’t true. Despite this, she is clearly a smart person.

She is an artistic soul which is a kind of intellect that shouldn’t be overlooked. While not much is known about her grades, she was likely good at certain subjects.

Warwick Davis as Filius Flitwick in Harry Potter

As the Head of Ravenclaw house, Professor Flitwick clearly exemplifies many of the Ravenclaw traits. While not much is known about his time as a student, given the fact he went on to become a professor, he likely had great grades. He is one of the best professors at Hogwarts, and he is clearly a very smart and capable wizard. He likely was the top of his class during his time at Hogwarts, at least in the subject of Charms. According to the Harry Potter Wiki, he was a model student.

Considering the Ollivander was considered by many to be the best wandmaker in the world, he must have been really smart. He was sorted into Ravenclaw, but not that much is known about his team at Hogwarts. However, he would need to be an interested student and learn a lot about magic in order to be a great wandmaker. While Ollivander might not be the most inspiring or good Ravenclaw to ever exist, he definitely was one of the most skilled.
