Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint became household names thanks to the success of the Harry Potter movies. Other actors such as Alan Rickman, David Thewlis, and Ralph Fiennes are best known for their supporting roles in the films as Snape, Lupin and Voldemort respectively, even though they've appeared in countless other movies and shows.

But there are plenty of actors who've had minor roles in the fantasy movies and who have gone on to star in other productions. And we've forgotten that they that initially started out or had roles in Harry Potter!

Each of these actors listed below appeared in Harry Potter. Do you remember their roles?

Jonny Greenwood as a band member of the Weird Sisters

In the Harry Potter universe, the Weird Sisters are a hugely successful band, whose songs could be heard over the Wizarding Wireless Network and were even invited to Hogwarts to perform at the Yule Ball in the Goblet of Fire.

In the film version, they have a brief cameo and Jonny Greenwood, a member of English rock band Radiohead was one of the band members. Although his name wasn't listed due to a lawsuit, you can see him playing with the band in the movie.

Also, Scottish band Franz Ferdinand were supposed to play them initially!

John Cleese as Nearly Headless Nick

John Cleese is best-known for co-founding the Monty Python troupe and appearing in films like the Monty Python and the Holy Grail and others. He is also an accomplished screenwriter, comedian and voice actor.

Did you know that he also had a spot in the Harry Potter films?

He played Nearly Headless Nick, the resident friendly ghost of Gryffindor Tower.

Luke Youngblood as Lee Jordan

Luke Youngblood has made quite a name for himself for playing Magnitude on Community. He's also played Ben in The Story of Tracy Beaker and has appeared on TV shows such as Glee, Lie To Me and Galavant.

But did you know that he also had a minor role in the first two Harry Potter films?

He played the role of Lee Jordan, a fellow Gryffindor, friend of Harry and the most memorable Quidditch commentator in the series.

Clemence Poesy as Fleur Delacour

This French actress became quite well-known after her appearance in Season 4 of Gossip Girl as Eva Coupeau. She has also played Natasha Rostova in War and Peace and has starred in several French productions.

She also played Fleur Delacour in the Harry Potter films. Initially introduced as a Triwizard champion in the fourth book, we later find out that she dates Bill Weasley and the two marry each other in the last book.

Scarlett Byrne as Pansy Parkinson

Pansy Parkinson was that pug-faced Slytherin girl who constantly sucked up to Malfoy. Never on good terms with Harry and his friends, she also became a Prefect and a member of the Inquisitorial Squad in the fifth book.

In the films she was portrayed by Scarlett Byrne. The actress also appeared in the Vampire Diaries and Falling Skies, as Nora and Lexi respectively.

Oh, and she's also married to Cooper Hefner, the son of Hugh Hefner.

Did you know that Hermione is the daughter of a Stark?

Michelle Fairley is most well-known for her compelling role as Catelyn Stark in Game of Thrones. She has also appeared in numerous other television shows, films, and theater adaptations, starting out as an actress way back in 1989.

In fact, she had a brief role as Mrs. Granger, Hermione's mother in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1, that most people often forget.

Alfred Enoch as Dean Thomas

Alfred Enoch as Wes Gibbons in How To Get Away With Murder

Alfred Enoch plays Wes Gibbins in the popular series How to Get Away with Murder, for which he was even nominated for a NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.

But prior to that, he had appeared in all the Harry Potter films except for Deathly Hallows: Part 1, playing the role of fellow Gryffindor classmate, Dean Thomas.

He's also had small roles in Sherlock and Broadchurch!

Jamie Campbell Bower as a young Gellert Grindelwald

Model, singer, and actor Jamie Campbell Bower is quite the heartthrob.

In addition to playing Anthony Hope in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, he's appeared in quite a few YA fantasy adaptations such as The Twilight Saga (as Caius), The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones (as Jace Wayland) and Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts (as a young Gellert Grindelwald).

Moreover, he also modeled for Burberry, founded a rock band called Counterfeit and is slated to appear in the prequel series of Game of Thrones.

Robert Pattinson as Cedric Diggory

Robert Pattinson almost became famous overnight thanks to his role as the brooding vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight Saga, where he starred opposite Kristen Stewart, whom he also dated. More recently, he's signed on to play Batman in an upcoming adaptation.

But few remember that prior to Twilight, he had in fact appeared in the fourth Harry Potter film as Cedric Diggory, the talented and good-looking Triwizard Champion from Hufflepuff who went to the Yule Ball with Harry's then-crush Cho Chang.

In fact, back in the day, there was a popular joke about Cedric Diggory being killed in the Harry Potter universe, only to be resurrected as a vampire in the Twilight novels.

David Tennant as Barty Crouch Jr

We've seen this man on TV a lot.

First off, he played the much-loved Tenth Doctor in Doctor Who, the villain Kilgrave in Jessica Jones and the demon Crowley in the critically-acclaimed Good Omens. The Scottish actor also had leading roles in Broadchurch and Casanova.

And he even appeared in Harry Potter!

In the adaptation of Goblet of Fire, he had a brief role as Barty Crouch Jr towards the end of the film, where it is revealed that Harry's Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor Alastor Moody was being impersonated by a Death Eater the whole time!
