DC Comics recently released Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: The Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour #4 with a cover that features Harley Quinn’s lover Poison Ivy and Vixen (aka Mari McCabe) in an entanglement of sorts—and Harley just can’t stand it! In this series, Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn have been exploring their passionate and wild romance, but from the cover, it seems that a third party might be trying to spoil their love affair.

Ever since Poison Ivy finally got Harley Quinn to leave her toxic relationship with The Joker, their friendship blossomed into a passionate relationship that fans can’t get enough of. But Vixen, as her name describes, is as sultry and as beautiful ever and might pose a threat to Harley and Ivy’s bond.

The cover of Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: The Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour #4, written by Tee Franklin and illustrated by Max Sarin, features Vixen, who has a rather lustful gaze, staring into Poison Ivy’s eyes. Ivy’s vines are wrapped around Vixen’s wrists and their faces are only a few inches apart from one another. Harley Quinn looks on in horror as her lover seems to be a bit too close to Vixen.

Harley Quinn Poison Ivy Vixen Cover

Based on the cover alone, it’s unclear if Poison Ivy is actually upset or just pretending to be upset in a hard-to-get-kind-of-way. But, it’s completely obvious that Harley Quinn is mortified. It makes sense that she’d look on in horror as her current flame is face to face with a literal vixen. In fact, before ever becoming a superhero Vixen was a model. So maybe Harley has a right to feel threatened. Moreover, Vixen is a superhero who has a love for fighting crime and keeping animals safe. Poison Ivy is an eco-terrorist obsessed with saving mother nature from people who want to destroy it. Maybe their love of the earth’s fauna and flora, respectively, is enough to create a bit of a love triangle or, at the very least, some tension between the three in this new issue. However, it’s possible that Poison Ivy has no interest in Vixen and is attempting to protect herself and perhaps Harley from whatever Vixen is after.

The cover of Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: The Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour #4 leaves much to be imagined about where this story might be going, so readers will just have to wait and see exactly how and why Harley Quinn, Vixen, and Poison Ivy have come together in this new release.
