DC's Harley Quinn is one of the most badass characters in comics and has recently been brought to life in stunning detail in an epic body paint cosplay from Melissa Croft. The talented cosplayer shared her take on the sometimes villain, sometimes hero, as her version of Harley Quinn is ready to battle as she wields an oversized mallet. The body paint is so well done, it's nearly impossible to tell Croft isn't wearing an actual costume.

Harley Quinn is a beloved DC Comics character who first appeared in Batman: The Animated Series. Initially appearing as the oft-abused partner of the Joker, Harley Quinn would evolve into a villain with her own agency, joining the Suicide Squad and becoming one of Batman's rogues. However, in recent years, Harley Quinn has stepped into a new path as an antihero, even joining the Bat-Family as one of its most important members during the recently concluded Batman by James Tynion IV and Jorge Jimenez - all while keeping her zany, unpredictable personality. Another significant evolution for Quinn was developing a romance with Poison Ivy, which has blossomed into one of DC's best pairings, whether in the comics or the DC animated series, Harley Quinn.

On her Instagram account, body paint cosplayer Melissa Croft shared her take on Harley Quinn. In the stunning look, Harley seems to be inspired by her Arkham Asylum costume, as it features her red and black corset, black armbands, and joker-inspired tattoos. However, what makes the look is the massive mallet she wields, which, when flipped around, has the menacing phrase "Your Face Here." Croft's facial expressions and bleached white skin really bring Harley Quinn to life.

Melissa Croft is one of the best in the business, as her body paint work is unparalleled among cosplayers. She's tackled many comic book heroes before, including looks we've shared of Spider-Man's ally Silk, the X-Men's Dazzler, Gamora from Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, and Terra from the Teen Titans. Croft never misses when it comes to her highly detailed body paint cosplays, and her take on Harley Quinn doesn't buck the trend.

Quinn seems to be the perfect character for Croft, as this particular costume works incredibly well as a body paint ensemble. From the corset, to the details like her tattoos and painted on belt, to the epic mallet, Croft nailed her take on Harley Quinn - which is unsurprising but doesn't make it less epic.
