Warning! Spoilers ahead for Harley Quinn: The Animated Series!Things are changing for Harley Quinn in her animated series now that she's becoming an official member of the Bat-Family. A cover for Harley Quinn: The Animated Series - Legion of Bats! shows Harley and her new team in a meme-worthy pose.

Harley Quinn: The Animated Series' title character has been through an interesting character development. Like her comic book counterpart, Harley ditched the Joker after one-too-many disappointments and decides to strike out on her own as a villain. With her BFFGFF Poison Ivy by her side, Harley embarked on a new path all across the DCU. Harley Quinn's most recent season saw the character in some tentative team-ups with the Bat-Family, largely due to her friendship with Batgirl. After helping the Bat-Family take care of a swarm of plant-infused zombies, Harley has joined the team after Batman was arrested by Mayor Joker for tax evasion.

Now that Harley is an official member of the team, the Bat-Family is welcoming her. A variant cover for Harley Quinn: The Animated Series - Legion of Bats! #4 was posted on Twitter by artist Dan Hipp shows Harley, along with Batman, Nightwing, Batgirl, and Damian (as King Shark attempts a photo bomb). Harley Quinn and the Bat-Family all wear matching sweaters with Bat symbols and “Na na na” running down the arm in a sly reference to the '60s Adam West Batman theme. It's an awkward scenario, made only more awkward by Harley's braces-filled grimmace in the background. The cover is just one of several variants made by Hipp for the Harley Quinn: The Animated Series - Legion of Bats! miniseries. Others show Harley surrounded by dozens of little Harley and Ivys, as well as a King Kong-sized Harley demolishing Gotham.

Harley's Cringy Bat-Family Photo is Picture-Perfect

Awkward photos or not, Hipp’s variant cover confirms that this isn’t a stunt for Harley Quinn. She’s actually making a concentrated effort to do better and the Bat-Family recognizes that. Batgirl was the first to notice Harley had the potential to be a hero and now that she's actively pursing a more noble path, she's found a crew that's willing to support her and help her grow. This variant cover may imply that things are really looking up for Harley as she gets started on this new chapter of her life.

It’s not that Harley hasn’t had support in the past. Poison Ivy has actually been one of the biggest proponents of Harley Quinn becoming a hero. But Harley is going to need people who have walked the walk and talked the talk to help her adjust to a life of justice and no-killing rules. It's going to be a huge change for Harley, but as Dan Hipp's cover shows, she's got a crew that's there to help her acclimate to her new life. It might not be the easiest undertaking for the Bat-Family, but training up Harley Quinn will no doubt bring the entire team closer together.
