The season 2 trailer of The Hardy Boys on Hulu has been released. The origins of The Hardy Boys and brothers Frank and Joe, begins with its creation back in 1927 by children's literature author Edward Stratemeyer, with a subsequent book series titled Hardy Boys Mystery Stories, written by numerous ghostwriters and published under the pseudonym Franklin W. Dixon. The Hardy Boys captured the adventurous imagination of many young children throughout the decades since its inception with multiple book series, the most prolific of which ran from 1927-2005, as well as films, comic books, and video games. Hulu's addition to the Hardy Boys canon began in late 2022 with its release of the first season of The Hardy Boys. The positive reception to the show's dark, supernatural reboot spurred the development of a second season.

Now, Hulu has released the trailer for The Hardy Boys season 2, which will be available for streaming on April 6, 2022. The fast-paced, tension-filled trailer catches viewers up from where they left off in season 1 and builds anticipation for the twists and turns yet to come in the ten episodes awaiting fans. With ominous music playing, the trailer reveals the dark reappearance of a mystical relic from the first season along with a classmate's disappearance from their town of Bridgeport, launching the brothers back into their thrilling but dangerous detective work. The characters of Frank and Joe Hardy have appeared throughout the past century as many different iterations in many different time periods, but the Hulu adaptation chose a unique approach to match their offer of the new platform for the brothers. The Hardy Boys takes place in the 1980s, drawing on the same '80s nostalgia craze that inspired the conception and success of Stranger Things or Super 8. This updated, but not contemporary, setting mirrors the phenomenon of the show–  a modernized twist that still remains grounded in reverent homage to its source material.

The Hardy Boys stars Rohan Campbell as Frank Hardy and Alexander as Joe Hardy. Both possess relatively little television experience, but that only speaks to the effectiveness of their portrayals, their adventurous, ingenious energy impressively channeled into the Hardy brothers' boyishly bold curiosity as they face dark forces, both supernatural and human. The transition and success of The Hardy Boys through the medium of children's books to a streaming platform renders the legacy of the Hardy brothers– now almost 100 years old– more alive than ever.
