Netflix unveils a new trailer for The Harder They Fall, teasing Idris Elba's dangerous outlaw and Jonathan Majors' quest for revenge against him. The film hails from musician Jeymes Samuel, also known by his stage name The Bullitts, in his directorial debut with a script he co-wrote with Boaz Yakin. The story revolves former slave-turned-cowboy Nat Love as he reassembles his former gang to track down outlaw Rufus Buck and his gang for the murder of his parents after he is sprung from prison.

The Harder They Fall features an ensemble cast comprised of Idris Elba as Rufus Buck, Jonathan Majors as Nat Love, Zazie Beetz as Stagecoach Mary, Lakeith Stanfield as Cherokee Bill, Delroy Lindo as Bass Reeves, Regina King as Trudy Smith, Edi Gathegi as Bill Pickett and RJ Cyler as Jim Beckwourth. Development on the film first got underway in mid 2019 when Majors and Samuel signed on to the project, though production would be delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which saw Cynthia Erivo, Wesley Snipes and Sterling K. Brown bow out. With production wrapped and the film gearing up for its premieres, Netflix is looking to build anticipation for the project.

Ahead of its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival, Netflix has debuted a new trailer for The Harder They Fall. The Harder They Fall is an exciting venture for the Western genre as one of the only films to feature an entirely Black cast for the genre and the latest trailer shows the strengths its various stars bring to the fold. The new video also does a solid job of better exploring the relationships of the film, with the first trailer having offered glimpses at the opposing gangs in the film with only a minor indication at Elba's villainy as Buck. In comparison, the new trailer properly teases his involvement in the death of Love's parents and the latter's drive for revenge and justice.

As with the first trailer, though, the new trailer for The Harder They Fall properly shows the stylish direction delivered by Samuel in his debut and the soulful soundtrack crafted for the film. Samuel worked with Jay-Z, a producer on the film, to build a soundtrack for the film with the Grammy winner also writing original songs specifically for the Western. The wait for The Harder They Fall is nearly over as it arrives in select theaters on October 22 followed by its Netflix premiere on November 3.
